We had the good fortune of connecting with Marland Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marland, how do you think about risk?
This is a very important question if you ask me . The first thought that comes to my mind when thinking of risking something is what are you losing in return . Which by making any choice in life can be followed by a favorable or unfavorable outcome . Taking risk has played a very big role in my life . I could lists many but i the most important today is the risks that i am currently taking . My business was something that i altered ( deciding if i would sale me or women’s clothes ) which took a lot of thought . I one day just sat down and decided i wanted to create a new lane for men to shop online and make it so unique that it would be something that not only cater to men of all kind but also cater to the shopping experience that’s i felt like i couldn’t find when personally shopping . That was a risk because i was going to try to create something that in my opinion was not currently on surface . This can be daring and scary but as i stated in the beginning what loses would i have taken other than it not being what i expected and never actually putting the work in to get it where it needed to be . Which in this case didn’t not happen more i did way more than i ever expected and currently learning more and more and striving to be better than ever before .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In the process of building a business and branding it i have learned so many lessons. One thing that i thought i knew but i really didn’t know was that TIME is key . A lot of times people assume that time is on our side or that we can push things off until we see fit or till we get things together . In my opinion your only as relevant as you put yourself out there . A lot of people watch these blogs and social media post and believe that they can do thing like the people that are already in the lime light but don’t be no fool . Those people have teams behind them and 9 times of of 10 they have strategically map out their off spring time and also they have the follow and fan base to do so . As new business owner it is our job to make sure the world know who we’re out thru our product , visuals , promotion and more . So why are we waiting for this perfect time in our head ? THE PERFECT TIME IS NOW !!!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmmmmmmm if i could give some one a great taste of Atlanta i think i would have to say we definitely make our first stop botanical gardens. It’s so beautiful yes so relaxing i lived here for so long and hadn’t been and ever since i been i haven’t stopped . I also think you can’t come to Atlanta without taking a stroll in the Old forth Ward area . It’s so many magical places for pictures , hidden gems for amazing food places like “ Amano “ as well as it’s a hippy vibe which is stand for !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my Mother . I lost my mother at a very transitional point of my life ( teenage years ) . But I’m so grateful to have shared alot of my dreams and goals with her . She always has my back no matter what it was that i wanted to do . She also left me with alot of tips in pointers that i stand ten toes down on . Something that she shared with me that i think is important for everyone no matter what Avenue you are wanting to venture into is “ Without foundation there is no way to stay stable “.
