We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mark, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Never have been a 9-5 guy and for me creativity isn’t a job. It’s the way I serve, heal, and leave a mark in this world. It’s how I bring order to chaos, sound to silence, and beauty to the everyday. I didn’t just choose this path it’s just my calling. I was born to create.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I treat every project like it’s my own home, and I don’t leave until the customer is 100% satisfied. My brands, Robinson Renovations and Paint is Life, are more than names — it reflects my passion and commitment to quality craftsmanship.”

With over 100 homes painted and a long list of happy clients, I’ve built a reputation for being dependable, clean, and delivering flawless finishes every time.

My path to entrepreneurship has been bitter sweet of course. “My journey in both music and painting has been full of challenges, but those struggles shaped me into who I am today. In painting, I started just grinding every day to prove my worth painting rooms as low as $35! Gradually as I got better I moved up to $55 then to $75 and now my rates reflect my skill level. Entrepreneurship is tough because your livelihood depends on your own income so you have to be on top of marketing and advertising to keep a steady flow of work. There were times I didn’t know where the next job would come from, but I stay consistent, focused on quality, and build trust with every client. These turn to referrals and before I knew it I’m getting calls just bars of reputation alone.

Music was no different and I’m just getting into it really. I do music production and I perform and am releasing music in the next coming months.

“I want the world to know that my brand, Paint is Life, is built on passion, purpose, and excellence. It’s more than just painting — it’s about transforming spaces and inspiring people through creativity and hard work. I will be making painter apparel for Paint is Life and will also be starting a podcast to share ideas stories and bring together the home improvement community as we share ideas but also entertain.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
“If I had friends visiting Atlanta, We’d start with breakfast at Atlanta Breakfast Club — can’t go wrong there. For lunch, maybe hit Busy Bee Café for some classic Southern soul food. Dinner? Two Urban Licks or South City Kitchen for that upscale but laid-back Atlanta flavor. For entertainment, we’d check out the Trap Music Museum, catch a Hawks game or live show at State Farm Arena, and maybe cruise through the BeltLine for some art, music, and city energy. Maybe some music and poetry at Apache as sometimes I perform there as well. I like the trap rooms as well. Ferris wheel ride in Centennial Park is always nice. with the Atlanta’s got so much to offer — I’d make sure they see the side of the city that’s both inspiring and unforgettable.”

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Not in particular just my family who’s always supported me and anyone out there who has allowed me into their home and trusted me to bring their home ideas to reality.
