We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Mogul and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mark, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process when it comes to my business is being a pioneer and setting a good example for the next generation. Not just for my family but young black people around the world. Detroit isn’t really known for fashion and great events, so I want to be the one who brings it to the city in a positive light.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from other brands is the message of my clothing. My goal was to create a clothing brand to uplift the culture in a positive fashion.

I am most proud of creating a brand that people love and appreciate the designing of it as well. I get a lot of support from people across the country .

I got to this position that I’m in today by not giving up on the mission. I’m still not where I want to be but I’m in a better position then most people.

It wasn’t easy either, from investing thousands of dollars, to marketing and promoting during the pandemic while dealing with family issues, death to love ones and life in general.

I overcame these challenges by not giving up. Staying focused on the task and controlling the energy around me.

One of the most important things I’ve learned on this journey so far is to get a mentor. Be around people who want the similar things that you want in life.

Even if you have to work for them or with them to learn more about what you’re interested in being, DO IT!! Be an asset to people and they’ll value you and show you everything they know.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown Detroit has a few places to eat and have drinks but one of my favorite spots is sweet water tavern. Best wings in town.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, Shoutout to GOD for the direction and vision he placed on my heart and mind. BIG Thanks to my MOM for supporting me no matter what going on, she’s always been there for me. BIG Shoutout to my Grandmother for instilling confidence in me since a young Kid. And also shoutout to my family, they’re always encouraging me to keep going (especially my youngest son) and my friends are there for me as well. And shout out to you guys for reaching out to me. Hopefully this won’t be our last interview. Appreciate you 🖤
