We had the good fortune of connecting with Marjorie Driese and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marjorie, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Yes, my perspective on work-life balance has definitely evolved over time. In the early stages of my career, I prioritized work above all else, often sacrificing personal time and neglecting other aspects of my life. However, as I gained more experience and perspective, I realized the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Now, I approach the balance with a more holistic mindset. I believe that achieving success in both professional and personal realms requires maintaining equilibrium and being mindful of the time and energy invested in each area. It’s about finding harmony between pursuing career goals and nurturing relationships, hobbies, and personal well-being. Prioritizing self-care and carving out quality time for family, friends, and activities that bring joy and fulfillment are central to my approach to work-life balance.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Creating art is my form of content creation! Over the years, I’ve gained valuable insights into what captures people’s interest and resonates with my audience. It hasn’t been easy. There were moments when I poured my heart into content, only to see minimal engagement. That’s the nature of this medium—discovering what truly connects with people. I’m still mastering this craft, and the challenge is what keeps it exciting for me!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta boasts numerous fantastic dining options! If a friend were visiting for a week, I’d kick off their culinary experience with delicious seafood at The Oceannaire, then explore the diverse culinary scene. However, our week wouldn’t revolve solely around dining. Being adventurous, I’d take them to scenic spots in the North Georgia mountains like Helen. Additionally, we’d visit popular tourist attractions downtown such as the Georgia Aquarium and the Coca-Cola Museum, and perhaps enjoy some thrilling rides at amusement parks like Six Flags or White Water. Evenings would be relaxed with drinks at one of the city’s many vibrant local clubs or bars.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to my family, my unwavering support system. They not only assist me with content but also provide me with solace and joy after exhausting workdays. Their support makes everything easier.
