Hi Mariushka Zoé, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business as a lifestyle photographer was deeply rooted in my personal journey. My passion for capturing beautiful moments began in my early college days, but it wasn’t until I became a stay-at-home mom that I truly understood the profound impact of photography. Documenting my family’s memories brought me immense joy and made me realize how powerful photographs can be in preserving life’s most meaningful moments. This inspired me to extend that gift to others, helping them freeze time through timeless images that allow them to relive their special days for years to come.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is all about capturing real, heartfelt moments that tell a story. As a lifestyle photographer, I focus on preserving genuine emotions and connections, creating images that feel natural and timeless. What sets me apart is my ability to make clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, allowing their true personalities to shine. I believe the most powerful photographs come from authentic interactions, not just posed shots.

Getting to where I am today professionally hasn’t been easy. Like any creative journey, there have been challenges—self-doubt, learning the business side of photography, and balancing my passion with family life. But I’ve overcome these obstacles through perseverance, continuous learning, and the unwavering support of my loved ones. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone. Every challenge has pushed me to improve, refine my skills, and trust the process.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s rooted in passion, purpose, and storytelling. My goal is to create more than just beautiful images—I want to give people tangible memories they can hold onto forever. Every session is an opportunity to celebrate life, love, and the fleeting moments that mean the most.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the best of Atlanta’s food, art, and outdoor spots. We’d start at Ponce City Market for great food and shopping, then walk the Atlanta BeltLine to see murals and stop at New Realm Brewing for a drink. We’d explore the High Museum of Art, visit the historic King Center, and check out the street art at Krog Street Tunnel. A day in Little Five Points would be perfect for quirky shops and live music. For a break from the city, we’d hike at Sweetwater Creek State Park, enjoying scenic trails and historic ruins.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! My journey as a lifestyle photographer wouldn’t have been possible without the love, support, and encouragement of my family. Becoming a stay-at-home mom played a huge role in shaping my passion for photography, and my family has been my greatest source of inspiration. They’ve not only been my first subjects but also my biggest cheerleaders, pushing me to turn my love for capturing memories into something bigger. I also want to give a special shoutout to the incredible clients who have trusted me with their most precious moments—your stories fuel my passion every day. Lastly, I’m grateful for the photography community and mentors who have shared their knowledge and experiences, helping me grow both artistically and professionally.
