We had the good fortune of connecting with Marie Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marie, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Loyalty is not something people talk about much and, lately, it even seems unpopular in certain environments, but it is a vital quality to possess and, especially, to expect in the business world and even more so in our personal lives. It is hard to define loyalty, but very easy to recognize it. Loyalty is valuable because it allows us to take the risk of predicting the actions and behavior of people we trust. One may not always correctly decide who to be loyal to, and some people may even disappoint us or deceive us when we are loyal to them. Despite all this, loyalty always allows us to be true to ourselves and to our values.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a mobile bartender I’ve been doing for 11 years. I think in this industry we all make drinks and services in a unique way. I am pepud that this is something that I continued to do and I am where I am today because of my daughter and clients since they are the ones still requesting my services and book me. It wasn’t easy being away from home and being booked all the time but I had to make it work. I thin what I’ve learned is never be disloyal or cut throat in the industry always be honest and respectful. I want everyone to know that if you put your mind to something stick to it there were times I wanted to give up you tend to sight sometimes but I think it’s important to always stay focused. I’ve created cool ways to sell drinks on the go especially during the pandemic I stayed busy thankfully yourfavoritebartendermarie is here to stay

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take the Venice Beach have them walk and look at all the art and check out the bars. Also take them to San Diego and check out down town also they have amazing bars and food and also rosarito beach Mexico they have amazing food art and also who doesn’t like tacos

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my daughter Aliah Vazquez who’s motivated me to strive and always push myself to do better. She’s saved my life. I started my business because of her I was a single mom and wanted to make sure she had what I never did.
