Hi Maria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I decided to start my own buisness April 16th 2020. It was a celebration of me being a 23 year old young black women striving to become better. I wanted to build a brand that represent all the young beautiful women who want to be heard & seen. PrettyMLashes Brand is not only a brand it is a lifestyle! I sell Cosmetics to make women feel beautiful!!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Honestly , I am SUPER proud that I even lasted this long with my buisness. At first it was extremely hard because no one wants to support unless your a celebrity. Until I started to network and market and I started to get sakes and it took off from their summer 2020. One of the best days of my life! My buisness grew for the better and it had been doing good ever since! I sell eyelashes all styles from 25mm to 3D . I have evil eye necklaces to block away the negativity and I have eyeliner glue pens. Starting my PrettyMLashes Brand I learned that strangers support you more then anyone! I also learned people want to see you do good but never better then them. It get lonely when your in your way to the top but keep striving! I want every upcoming entrepreneur to ALWAYS remember NEVER GIVE UP!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I actually don’t have a bestfriend I never had one lol. Kinda shocking actually I haven’t found anybody who is as genuine as me. BUT IF I did have one.. I would take her out to Atlantic City to have a nice spa day at they hotel. Have some girl gossip , relax , I’ll take us to a nice restaurant to eat some nice steak and lobster. lol ( I love that ) & then we would sip some wine and watch some tv. Perfect day for me lol. I’m laid back and chilled.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Grandmother , My Aunt & ny Husband deserves recognition. Without my Grandmother I honestly wouldn’t even be here. I thank her for everything she did for me. Her and my aunts sacrificed a lot to for me to be able to grow up & become a entrepreneur. They always told me this saying. “You can take a horse to the water but you can’t make him drink” In other words. I can’t help you get to where you want but I cannot force you. & ever since then I strive under pressure! My husband on the other hand. He’s the one who helped me launch my buisness. He believed in me and told me . “You can do it” & he also invested to help my lash buisness. & that’s when PrettyMLashes Brand was founded April 16th 2020 on my 23rd Birthday.
