We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Lemoine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maria, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is a combination of consistency, unwavering self-belief, and the incredible support I’ve received along the way. Consistency has been my foundation, and self-belief has been my driving force pushing me to trust my vision and persevere through challenges. At the same time, I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my clients, family, friends, and collaborators who have believed in me and my artistry. This mix of self-determination and external encouragement has been key to building a brand I’m proud of.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My artistry is deeply rooted in my passion for making people feel confident, beautiful, and authentically themselves. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and my ability to create complex or soft glam looks that enhance natural beauty while reflecting my client’s unique personality. I’m also incredibly proud of the trust I’ve built with my clients. Whether it’s a bride on her wedding day or a client preparing for a photoshoot, being a part of their special moments is an honor I don’t take lightly.
Getting to where I am today professionally hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has shaped me into the artist and person I am now. I’ve faced moments of self-doubt, difficult decisions, and the ups and downs of running a business. But I’ve learned that consistency is everything. Believing in myself, even when it felt like no one else did, and leaning on the support of my family, friends, and mentors made all the difference.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone and trusting the process. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn and improve, not just as an artist but as a business owner and a human being. not everyone would take you serious and not everyone would want you to succeed but the ones that do, will be there forever!
What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on authenticity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. It’s not just about makeup it’s about creating moments that people will remember forever. My story is one of perseverance and love for my craft, and I hope it inspires others to follow their own dreams with confidence and heart.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the perfect mix of luxury, fun, and relaxation. Here’s our week-long itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome & Relaxation
We’d kick off the visit at my home studio with a personal glam session—there’s no better way to start the trip than feeling your best! Afterward, we’d head to Piedmont Park for a relaxing stroll or a cozy picnic to enjoy the skyline views. Dinner would be at St. Cecilia, a chic spot for incredible Italian-inspired seafood dishes.
Day 2: Shop & Sip
We’d spend the day at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, browsing designer boutiques and making a must-stop at Sephora or Bluemercury for a little makeup shopping spree. Afterward, a cocktail at Le Bon Nosh, a sophisticated cafe and wine bar, would hit the spot.
Day 3: Explore the Arts
We’d visit The High Museum of Art to explore the latest exhibits, followed by lunch at Canoe, a serene riverside restaurant perfect for taking in the city’s natural beauty. Later, we’d unwind at Jeju Sauna for a luxurious spa day, with a mix of therapeutic treatments to fully relax.
Day 4: A Taste of Atlanta
We’d dedicate this day to food! Brunch at South City Kitchen for upscale Southern cuisine is a must, followed by a foodie tour through Ponce City Market to taste local favorites. To end the evening, we’d sip cocktails at The Garden Room, an enchanting, whimsical lounge that’s so Instagram-worthy!
Day 5: A Relaxing Escape
We’d venture just outside Atlanta to Chateau Elan Winery & Resort for wine tastings and a serene afternoon spa session. Dinner at the resort’s Versailles Restaurant would cap off the day in style.
Day 6: Fancy Fun Night Out
We’d have an elegant dinner at Atlas at the St. Regis Hotel, known for its art-filled ambiance and refined menu. After dinner, we’d enjoy live music and dancing at Johnny’s Hideaway, a classic spot that’s always a good time.
Day 7: Farewell Glam & Brunch
Before heading home, we’d wrap up the trip with a visit to my studio for a final makeup touch-up. Then, brunch at Breakfast at Barney’s, an upscale yet cozy spot perfect for reminiscing about the week.
This mix of fancy dining, relaxing spots, and personalized glam moments would make it an unforgettable trip!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my family, mentors, and clients who have continuously inspired me and supported my journey. My family has been my rock, offering unwavering love and encouragement. My mentors have guided me with invaluable wisdom and lessons that have shaped my artistry and my business. I’m also incredibly grateful for my clients, who trust me with their most special moments and remind me why I love what I do. A huge thank you to the photographers who believed in me early on and gave me opportunities to grow, and to my friends who have been there through it all, making sure I’m okay and cheering me on every step of the way. Each of them has played a significant role in my story, and I wouldn’t be where I am without their incredible support.
