Hi Maria Fernanda, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The biggest risk I have taken in my career was move to another country to pursue my modeling career. I always wanted to pursue something creative so it was risk taking deciding to pursue a non traditional path as a career.
But I think in life risks have to be taken because regret is bigger than failure , and I didn’t wanted to regret not going for my dreams I think at my young age of 21 thats my biggest life risk.
Im so grateful for the support of my family in this risk and that I can really go for what really makes me happy so when I look back I can say I did try.
On my social media platform I like to encourage people to take those risks they have always wanted to take and go for them.

My name is Maria Fernanda and Im a Fashion Model and Fashion Content Creator on Social media. Im very passionate of everything that involves Fashion and creativity.
Im pursuing a modeling career in New York City and till today it has been a very beautiul journey with challanges, ups and downs but Im doing what I have always dreamed of doing in life.
I started modeling when I was 17 in Mexico, I fell in love with the Fashion world and thats where I discovered I wanted to pursue a career in modeling. My Biggest acomplishment in my career as a model is walking New York Fashion Week for SFW Runway and Designers like Celeste Victoria on septemeber 2023 and most recently february 2024, once it was a dream now its an accomplishment. As a model you met several designers that will help you to make a name for yourself and Im very grateful to have found designers that I have connected and created bonds in work and real life. Besides modeling I create Fashion content around New York for my social media platform where I share my journey, outfits and the latest fashion trends to my followers, that challanges me to be creative andd put an unique touch to my content so my followers can feel inspired to pursue their dreams andd dream career path.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Omg I love this question. I adore New york and I consider myself a city girl now , and hanging out in the city its so much fun so here are my favorite places.
The West Village , its my favorite place on earth, it has all my favorite restaurants and cofffee shops , so well grab lunch in Sant Ambreous my favorite Italian Restaurant in the Village , with some aperol spritzes in a sunny day , then well grab dessert at bar pisellino they have the best capuccino and nutella croissants in all New York, and Its great to people watch, I love people watching. Its a must to walk around in the west village , you feel youre in a classic New York movie. At night with our fashionable outfits we are heading downtown to SoHo the fashion district in the city to have dinner in Mamo , another Italian restaurant I love for a classy and elegant vibe , its perfect for dinner. or some fun in the night we are heading to my new favorite bar called The nines , its this classy jazz bar in Noho , where you can listen to live jazz and dress up in fancy outfits and sip amazing cocktails. The Nines is the most perfect bar if youre visiting New York. I love dancing so for ending the night we are heading to Little Sister Lounge to dance the night away. Theres so many more places I love but this ones are my obsession for the moment , Im so grateful to be spending my 20s in succh an amazing city like New York.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my dad Jose Luis for being a very supportive parent in my journey as a model and as a creative. My life would have not been the same without him . I feel so thankful to have a very supportive dad since watching your daughter move of her country to pursue an artistic path in another country for other parents is a no , but my dad gave me all his support financially and emotionally. New York city is a very expensive city so having a full support financially of my parents is also part of where I am in life and with my career today. But also emotional support for not giving up on your goal when times get difficult, or when I feel its impossible to succeed in another country my parents are always there to cheer me up. Thats why I dedicate this shoutout to them , the bigest support I have and the people who I love the most, Thank you for everyting.
