We had the good fortune of connecting with Margaret Kanu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Margaret, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
In my opinion, risk are healthy depending on what kind of risks you take. They can either make you or break you and I do encourage everybody to take risk because one risk could change your life forever. In my life/career, taking risks as helped me grow as a person and in my business. I was nervous when I initially thought of creating my own business because there were a lot of risk like what if I don’t profit, or nobody shops, but I’m happy that I took that risk because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have the same drive/mentality that I have now. Everything that you do for the first time has some sort of risk involved in it. Most people associate risk with being negative when they can be healthy. It’s up to you to take that life-changing risk!

What should our readers know about your business?
When I originally started my business, it was July 2021, and as everybody knows we were in the middle of a pandemic, but I didn’t let that stop me. I was sitting at home and I wanted to do something that I enjoyed while receiving a profit. I started off very small, but I still had faith that my business would grow overtime. I was very proud about starting my own business at 16, and actually doing it well. Honestly, what really brought where I am today is consistency, customer service, and God. It was not easy, especially dealing with consistency. There are times in a business when things are slow, and I would get discouraged by that and stop posting. Now, I know that the more you post, the more people will see, and the more recognition you get! I’ve learned to never give up on something that you’re really passionate about. One post or risk could change your business/life forever, and I’ll continue to live by that. I want the world to know that as long as you have God’s favor over your life, you can do the impossible… literally.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is a very beautiful city. If I wanted anybody to experience Atlanta in the right way, I would take them downtown. Downtown Atlanta has so many things to see, experience, and eat. I would take them to places like the Botanical Garden, Centennial Park, Skyview Atlanta, Ponce City Market, Atlantic Station, Lenox Mall and so much more. Out of experience, I had an amazing time at Atlantic Station, especially when it’s night time. The lights, scenery, and environment is so beautiful. It’s a great date, family dinner, or tourist spot.
