Meet Marcus Slayton | Photographer/videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcus Slayton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marcus, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Just something that fell in my lap at the time. Just podcasting than from there started doing more with my camera. An unintentional investment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My story is simple am just a guy who works towards his goal of owning my brand which is Cbcreal which started as a podcast than started growing into something more. At first it was can’t be ce-real just an podcast. Than I started doing events and using my camera more as it was a very expensive investment. Than I started doing more photography. Than jumped into wedding photography and videography that I do now as well as shoot films and other projects that need a camera man

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
What’s funny I moved back to Atlanta after going back home to Philly. I been back for 6-7 years now and I don’t really hangout anywhere. If I do decide to go somewhere it’s to juicy crab or golden coral somewhere cheap. I’ll normally grab my drinks from the liquor store and stay at home and drink. I work too much to really enjoy myself or know where a great spot to hang out at:
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My brother’s from other mother. Yogi and dewy big parts in helping me build my brand and business. Of course my wife Chikera and my family. My sister and her family. Than Erin for helping me along the way with her shooting her first project.
