We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcus Albert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marcus, how do you think about risk?

Risk-taking is a concept that involves making decisions or engaging in activities that have an uncertain outcome, often with the potential for both positive and negative consequences. I approach risk-taking differently based on personality, past experiences and my individual goals. I thrive on taking risks, seeking new challenges and embracing uncertainty. In my life, risk-taking played a significant role in my personal and professional growth. Taking calculated risks helped me to reach opportunities, innovation and achievements that might not have been possible without venturing beyond my comfort zone. It encouraged me to push my boundaries, learn from failures and develop resilience.
As a business owner risk taking means finding a balance between embracing opportunities for growth and managing potential risks. It’s important to develop a calculated approach to help you to continuously learn from experiences and adapt strategies as needed to ensure your brand maintains long-term success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My brand is called Linked By Culture and it was officially established in 2022. Their are many ways my brand can be set apart from others This involves identifying and offering a unique product, service, or solution that addresses customer needs or solves a problem in a distinct and effective way. Linked By Culture we’re looking to provide high-quality products, services, or experiences that can make this business stand out. Innovation plays a crucial role in developing a new and improved product that surpass existing market standards, whether through technological advancements, creative design, or process enhancements. We place our customers at the center of the business. We will provide exceptional customer service, personalized experiences and building strong relationships with clients and consistently exceeding their expectations that can lead to customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
One thing I’m most proud and excited about an entrepreneur is watching my brand grow and become bigger. The work and dynamics that have been put in behind the scenes will show as the brand continues to expand. I don’t think most business owners think owning and running a company is ever easy. It always come with some downfall through the process but it’s about how you carry yourself as an individual to get through it. I’m here today with my business from the constant mindset in wanting to grow not as just a business owner but as an individual. You will learn a lot about yourself in the process of entrepreneurship. I can also thank those that supported from day one, My first two pre-order sales that I put out were all sold out before even hitting the market.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m an Atlanta native born and raised to the fullest. The city of Atlanta has a lot to offer anyone that’s coming out to visit. If my best friend was coming out here to visit I would take them to some of my favorite good eats spots, museums and parks and lounges to turn up at. When we go out to eat I would take them to Apt 4B, Bonton who has some great oysters and Breakfast at Barneys who has good brunch food.. When it comes to going out, I have my few spots that I like to go to. We would hit Xperience, Zari and Ace or Rock Steady just to switch the flow up and get them into the Afrobeats culture. Outside of Atlanta being famous for the hookah lounges, lit brunches and turn ups it’s way more here outside of that. I would take them to sweet water park, the high arts museum and Georgia aquarium just to name a few.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would like to take a moment to express gratitude for the significant role my family has played in my success story. Without their unwavering support, love and guidance, I wouldn’t have achieved what I have today. They have been an incredible source of inspiration and motivation throughout my journey and I am truly grateful for their presence in my life. From the very beginning, they believed in my abilities and encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Their constant encouragement and faith in me have given me the confidence to take risks, overcome challenges and strive for excellence. Whether it was providing emotional support during difficult times or offering valuable advice, they have been there every step of the way.
Also, I would like to thank all the coaches I’ve had from little league to college for the impact they have had on my life as an athlete. Their role as my sports coach has extended far beyond the realm of the game and I cannot thank them enough for the guidance, mentorship and inspiration they have provided throughout my journey. Beyond the physical aspect of the game, they have been a mentor and a role model to me. Their wisdom, experience and genuine care for as an athlete and human being have guided me through the ups and downs of my athletic journey. Their willingness to go the extra mile to support and motivate me has made a significant difference in my development as an athlete and as a person.
Lastly, I would like to thank my bro Denzell for giving me a platform to better my craft as a fitness coach and brand. The opportunities he has presented to me since being at his gym FINAO, located in Atlanta, Georgia has contributed and played a role in the success I have not just as a trainer but also as business owner.
