We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcia Patrice and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marcia, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I want to encourage women to find beauty in their bodies and totally love themselves for what they are. Acquiring clothing that inspire, symbolize, and enhance them throughout their fashionable journey. I began to consider myself a stylist guru after I began gaining weight. I needed to embody what I saw in the mirror. I felt compelled to manifest my passion for fashion while undergoing a weight transition. I possessed my new body type with assurance, and I adored the fashion sense that emanated from the curvy form I portrayed. It enabled me to be diversified in the fashion industry, and help other women who faced some of the same issues. With a passion for fashion, I’ve assisted women in becoming self-assured fashion trendsetters.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am fortunate to have been gifted with the abilities to pursue a career in singing, write songs, and work within the fashion industry. I am distinguished by my outgoing disposition and compassionate nature. Having a passion for fashion facilitates the process of dressing appropriately for performance. It comes in handy when I need to be styled. It makes singing or styling enjoyable rather than worklike. Additionally, I operate my entire company in a professional manner. The fact that it enables me to interact with a variety of individuals is why I genuinely enjoy my job. Having transitioned from consulting, styling personal and professional acquaintances, and working in retail establishments including Old Navy, Gap, and Aldo to digital content on Facebook platforms and the sale of vintage, contemporary, and high-fashion items fills me with pride. It’s not been easy. This is why I am grateful because without the Lord on my side, I would have given up long ago. This is why I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be releasing my album this year, 2024. It was the best decision of my life to relocate from Miami, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia; I will never turn back. By consistently engaging in prayer, meditation, and verbalizing the word of God, I have managed to overcome obstacles in my life. I was aware that in order to achieve success, one must be willing to undertake calculated risks. It was imperative that I placed my complete faith in God and relinquished any personal interference. I remember being my own first model to demonstrate my ability to style. The most important thing I’ve learned is to never give up, no matter what. I am my own biggest cheerleader. My sentiments and emotions do not guide my actions. I instruct it in its actions because I will keep running in this race to success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My closest friend and I both enjoy sharing enjoyable moments. Since we’re fresh to Atlanta, Georgia, we’ll begin the first day by attending a wine festival and end it with a live music club. We’ll spend the next day at the Vegan Festival because I enjoy vegan dishes. Following luncheon at the end of the day, we will proceed to the Atlanta Seafood Festival in the evening. We’ll visit the Thriftcon and Trap Music Museum over the weekend because we’ll be downtown. On our final day, I will prepare breakfast before we go to church, followed by a visit to the Balloon Museum and dinner.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank my support system, which has encouraged and helped me throughout my journey.

First, I would like to introduce Pastor Sharon Thompson, the founder of The Ekklesia Deliverance Ministry, Inc. She’s always been trustworthy and a great listener. Secondly, is Dr. Prophet Charlene Bouie CEO and Founder of Coffee Break With Charley. I see her as a mother figure who holds me accountable for my actions. Third, I would like to acknowledge Jessica Hylton is the owner and co-founder of Princess Training Miami. She has skillfully shown me how to start my entrepreneurial career. Next, Myriam Bennett, my sister-in-law, is my number one cheerleader. When life throws one a curveball, she is precisely attuned to inspiring me to persevere. My dad Thomas Bennett Jr. Celebrity Engineer (Tom Cat) Black 8 Entertainment Company for hearing me sing as a little girl, putting me in the studio and recording my first single release.  Lastly, I will thank my friend, better known as my drill sergeant. Shupier Jones is the founder and CEO of a luxury bag line called Pink Triangle Collection. Shupier helps me discover a better version of myself. She reminds me to not treat others better than myself. Also, I would like to especially thank all my family and friends who have inspired me throughout my journey.
