We had the good fortune of connecting with Marc Hogan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marc, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Growing up in Brooklyn we learned to have a resolve that does not allow us to give in. We all face challenges but it is the inner drive that keeps us going. There are good and bad days but we keep going. The biggest obstacle in life is yourself. It is important to overcome doubt and believe in what you are doing.Growing up in Brooklyn we learned to have a resolve that does not allow us to give in. What should our readers know about your business?
Our brand focuses on quality products that tell a story connecting with the customer. It started off dedicated to where we are from but now we are evolving ideas and designs to broaden our customer base. It started off with research and mentoring from other business owners. This helped us to understand to “dos” and “dont’s”. Now we find ourselves mentoring others who want to purse their own dreams like we did. It has come full circle so it is important for us to give back.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our roots are in East Flatbush Brooklyn so that is the best place to start. You can find some of the best West Indian food in the borough. The neighborhood of Canarsie is another great location for local food and activity near the water. The final destination would be Brooklyn Heights, It has some of the best places to eat along with the best view of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and NYC. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to start with our families. They have been crucial to our development and continued success. Family is the foundation of everything we do and it is very much appreciated. Also, all of the small business owners we met along the way. Hearing their stories and seeing the growth is very inspiring.
