We had the good fortune of connecting with Mann Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mann, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and my brand is remembering its For The Culture. I continue to open doors for them and give them opportunities. My success comes by opening the door for our culture. My success also comes from my drive and dedication to winning.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Due to the halt in filming caused by the 2020 pandemic, I was determined to continue my momentum by conquering new endeavors. I launched my own podcast “Behind The Scenes with Mann Robinson” interviewing creatives within the industry. As well as, wrote and released my first book/how-to guide; “A Look Into Black Independent Filmmaking” further solidifying my mission to give back to the culture. The book came about when I interviewed Todd Bridges on “Behind The Scenes” he learned the troubles he had that was black related to the film industry. You never see the obstacles that he learned, how to handle when you are told you can not get a role because you are black. He wanted to teach Independent Black Filmmakers – How To Move Forward and Build When You Are Told No. He wanted to share his techniques and things he has learned along the way and provide resources links.

I didn’t stop there, to further my filmmaker notoriety, I acquired a new film production house located on the belt-line of Downtown Atlanta and re-branded my company from Metro Wealth Studios to “Mann Robinson Studios” and opened the doors simultaneously as the pandemic ended. Mann Robinson Studios had a Nationwide Casting and opened the doors for actors and crew. Creating more jobs and opportunities for the creatives.
