Meet Mallorie Robinson: Web Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mallorie Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mallorie, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Keep going or give up? Just understand that there is an exchange for every decision you make in this lifetime with deciding between the two. If you give up to early you never get past the trials and into the capacity where your hard work has paid off and celebrated. On the other end, I have learned that failing to quit is a failure to learn. Not evolving and staying on the same detrimental path can cost you a lot more than just your pride and ego. However, if you are one of those people like me who don’t take no for an answer, understand that you cannot serve from an empty cup, especially if you have come into your purpose. I am a firm believer in maintaining a healthy environment for growth and guarding your state of mind. Just simply put, protect your peace. I can’t create if my cup is empty. If something in life has drained you spiritually, physically, and most importantly in my book, financially, my friend it may be time to take a break and re-strategize.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
You want your online presence to deliver clients and leads. Mallorie Noelle Designs will keep people engaged in your website so you can share your vision with the world! I created Mallorie Noelle Designs in 2017 because I wanted to help small businesses bring their business online. I have designed and developed over 75+ websites for clients. I specialize in creating Human-Centered and UX Design websites specifically catered to a dynamic user experience. The “look” will not be my only focus. My designs appeal to visitors and help them see any company and its brand through user interactions, visuals, and mobile accessibility. Every aspect of the site will work towards a clear goal. Through this holistic web design process, I take both look and function into account by producing a design that caters to the user experience. What sets MallorieNoelle Designs apart from others are the relationships that I build with my clients. Not only do I design for them, but I design for their audience. I also educate my clients on the rapid technology changes and challenges happening every day, so that they can stay ahead of the game in their market. As stated previously, I have created 75+ websites for businesses since 2017. The road was not always easy for me. One challenge that I had to overcome was my social anxiety. Studies have shown that most people who sit behind a computer and code every day are introverts and are less social in person. This is very true and it was hindering me from networking and making my business prosper. How did I overcome my social anxiety? It came with a lot of pep talking to myself. I had to find confidence in my work so that I could produce the most creative designs for my clients. I had to also find gratitude. I needed to appreciate how far I had come in this industry. Once I really tapped into my purpose and passion for design, my confidence and gratitude elevated and actually helped stopped my social anxiety. Now I have no fear in showing my work to the world! Mallorie Noelle Designs have some award-winning websites. One, in particular, is the Selma Alumna Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. website. This chapter received “Website of the Year Award” for the Southern Region of the organization at their 53rd National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. One lesson that I have learned along the way is to keep going and keep trying. My designs may not appeal to everyone but I cannot let that discourage me. I have to continuously study and perfect my craft because there is someone or some company out there excited to work with Mallorie Noelle Designs.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend comes to town, which is quite often lol, we always ride down to Ponce City Market for some good shopping and food. Since the pandemic, we have not been able to go to any sports event, but we would catch a Falcons or Hawks game. My guilty pleasure is a Hawaiian ribeye and a Mai Tai to drink from Houstons, so we would be stopping there for food. Lastly, for good vibes and music, we would go down the Edgewood District and do a little bar hopping.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are a few things I think about when it comes to my success. I thank God for protecting me along this journey and blessing me with a creative mind. I am so grateful for my mother and her unconditional love for me. I thank my friends for their warm and true friendships. I thank Clark Atlanta University for teaching me to “Find a Way or Make One”. Most importantly, I thank all closed doors from my past. They helped developed my drive and intense desire to achieve my goals no matter the obstacles. Those closed doors have taught me to never give up but just to re-strategize.
