We had the good fortune of connecting with Malaysia Bradley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Malaysia, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe not taking risk is the biggest risk. Risk taking is uncertain, which makes it uncomfortable but it is all about the leap of faith and growth. I didn’t always take risk, I liked to be ahead or in control of each task/situation. I sometimes felt like I was missing out on opportunities even. Taking risks allows opportunity for growth within yourself and business. As an entrepreneur it is definitely necessary, the quote “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” goes to say you won’t know unless you bet on yourself.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Beatz Entertainment is a serviced based business that offers graphic design and dj services. We specialize in designing brands for upcoming entrepreneurs, rebranding for already entrepreneurs, and an enjoyable vibe for your events. I feel the versatility and commitment of creating high quality designs and producing a moment of paradise sets us apart from others. I am most excited about the growth of the company and the upcoming relaunch that will make the design process more accessible for entrepreneurs. Also implementing some of the new techniques that were learned along the way. Before Covid I was doing projects for my portfolio but when Covid came it forced me to take action and use my skills to create a business that would not only help myself but others as well. It was far from easy, some days I didn’t believe in myself, things didn’t go right, or business was slow. I learned to turn my Losses into lessons and while putting in a lot of effort into my business I realized I needed to pay attention to my mental health. Working on my mental health the same way I worked on my business aided me in overcoming my obstacles. Some ways I started working on my health was through manifesting, meditation, and living in the now. Which in turn helped my business succeed. The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is to enjoy the journey and not comparing it to other people’s. I am grateful for how far I’ve come and how far I know I’m going to go. Beatz Entertainment is an umbrella for Beatz designs and Dj Beatz Mode and we will continue to help new entrepreneurs grow their brands and make sure that the events we host gives each person an amazing time. So not only are we looking for new entrepreneurs to help but also a mentor! As we progress we hope to open our own design store and nightclub in the future!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well when they get to Augusta we would spend that day relaxing and watching movies. I would take them to top golf or mini golf with the Rita’s to have some ice cream. We would eat dinner at I heart Mac & Cheese and we can make our own Mac & Cheese. The next day we would have lunch at Cheeseburger Bobby’s and go out to Stars and Stripes for some laser tag and arcades. Friday we would go downtown and enjoy the night life and walk around. Saturday we would drive down to Atlanta and spend the night there and grab some slutty vegan and enjoy their delicious burgers. We would go to Lenox mall and rent some scooters downtown and ride around and site see. We would take pictures with some of the wall art and go out to the mansion. Sunday we grab some brunch and drive back to relax.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to all entrepreneurs who continue to work on their craft even when things get hard and you feel like giving up. You all are rockstar and millionaires in the making. Continue the drive, continue to work hard and succeed it will all be worth it in the end.
