We had the good fortune of connecting with Maite Bates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maite, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success would have to be my faith in God. To be honest, if it wasn’t for my faith and beliefs, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Because of my faith, the trust I have in putting in time in my desires really take on a new form of courage. I am able to move in so much confidence because I understand that whatever God has for me will be mine regardless of how soon or how tangible these blessings may be.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a wife, mother of two precious babies, influencer, and now flight attendant — I find myself extremely busy. However, wearing all of those hats does not stop me from chasing and going after all of my dreams, desires, and goals. As life continues to happen, I’m most excited to continue learning the game of influencing, eventually building a multi-six figure brand all while enjoy my career as a flight attendant and sharing the world with my little family. Although getting to where I am in life was not easy, I know that despite the obstacles, I am able to overcome. Having to apply 7x to the airline of my dreams never deterred me from applying over and over again. Same with influencing! Not meeting a yearly financial goal will never disqualify me from going after the ultimate goal of creating a household brand. The biggest lesson I’ve learned in both careers is to learn from the mistakes that could have possibly set you back but never give up until you get what it is that you deserve! I’m reminded that my brand and my story is not MINE but a representation of GOD here on earth and that His hand is on my life. I call it #FAVOR.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a girl from the big city of New York, you’d think I’s miss it, but I don’t! Atlanta has become HOME and I love it here. I love the scenery like Piedmont Park, Atlantic Station, and even Helen, GA which is just a short 3 hour drive. However, my favorite thing to do with my husband is brunch hop! We love finding new brunch spots and trying them out whenever we have free time. Our current favorites are ‘Thumbs Up’, ‘The Breakfast Club’, ‘Buttermilk’ and my ultimate favorite would have to be the old faithful Waffle House!! Now that we have kids we love finding kid-friendly places to do things with the kids like the aquarium, Jump Air, frozen yogurt, museums, and parks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shout out to my husband Eric Bates. Without his constant support, honesty, encouragement, love, and dedication — I wouldn’t be as successful as I am today. Your honesty has allowed me to mature as a mother, as a wife, and as an entrepreneur in ways I couldn’t have imagined obtaining on my own. Your encouragement to keep on pressing on even when I wouldn’t see the results I desired have allowed me to build endurance and patience like no other. Lastly, the love you have for me is truly unconditional and for that I am grateful for because when I barely have it in me to love myself you remind me of my worth. I love you Mr.Bates
