We had the good fortune of connecting with Magda Gomez AgentATLANTA.com- RE/MAX Center and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Magda Gomez, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is a very scary action for many people. But risks we take every single day in all different levels.
We take risks the moment you start driving your car to go to work, etc.
In business decisions, yes, there are risks as well. In my real estate field, I have acquired so much education, experiences and challenges , that I feel confident in the risks I take. I view a risk as an opportunity in a variety of results. For example, a risk if it is not successful then you learned from that experience to only make it better next time. A successful risk as well. Your next opportunity will be a more concise, well thought, planned and executed. If you never take a risk, you will never know if it was a good one or not. Trust the inner you, your gutt feeling. Work with risks opportunities that you feel comfortable with.
I personally feel very confident in real estate and adventuring in my 23 year career as a Realtor. I have already purchased 3 properties in the past 4 years and turned them into big profits in less than 12 months each. Took a big chance with first property, then the others were like a walk in the park. Lately, I’m looking into a residential lot for a new construction.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a REALTOR now for 23 years, licensed in Georgia since 1998. . I specialize in residential sales and some investments too.. I started in real estate as suggested by a close friend. She commented that my bubbly personally, contagious smile and caring persona will open many doors. Today, I am proud to have received the Phoenix Award for many years holding and achieving Multi-million sales. A career in real estate requires close attention to details, deadlines and follow up tasks. Communication is key and the ability to work with multiple clients and co workers personalities dealing with challenges, needs, location and budgets, home staging, contractors scheduling, etc.
It’s not easy, but you can make it work with an open mind to grasp all the knowledge out there from support groups, office education and reading.
Every contract is different. Still this day there is not a single boring sale and there is always the opportunity to learn something new. Challenges for me are fun. I love to problem-solve, to go that extra 2 or 3 steps not expected from your client, go more than that extra mile. The “extras” is what brings the “extra” referrals. In some cases, when challenged, there is a strong respect from clients if you acknowledged that you may not have the right answer or information. Think about it. What a disservice if you mislead your client. Ethics are powerful.
I’m Magda Gómez, an Atlanta resident since 1991. REALTOR since 1998. I enjoy meeting people in all professional fields from all international spectrum. As a person, my friends, family and clients know me as a happy person with a contagious smile, caring, and funny personality. Life is serious but laugh a little. There are plenty of opportunities to be nice to others, give a hand, help and guide, hug and be grateful.
In this uncertain and challenging real estate market I encourage buyers and sellers to strongly consider and seek a real estate professional. Laws and contract changes are emerging constantly and you need to be informed so you can protect your assets and investments. As a REALTOR, I look into your best interest either as a Seller or a Buyer. Check out what my past clients’ experience with Magda Gómez and AgentATLANTA.com.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting this amazing City of Atlanta, I will take them to the Georgia Aquarium where I worked and volunteered some years ago. Love it there. Other must places to visit are the Civil Rights Museum, Battery Park and Braves Stadium, big fan of the Atlanta United FC, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Blue Ridge Mountain area, Lake Lanier and Allatoona, shopping around my neighborhood on Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, golfing at Callaway Gardens, plus all the calories in delicious dining like Mission and Market, Bistro Niko, Le Biboquet, Jimmyz Kitchen in Marietta and downtown Roswell where we could have Tapas and Spanish wine at Madrid Taverna.. Stroll into fun entertaining Ponce City Market and have a Mojito at The Super Pan. Enjoy a brisk walk outdoor in Midtown at Piedmont Park or Chastain Park in Sandy Springs. Jump on a scooter and visit many quaint restaurants along the Atlanta Beltline too. Atlanta has so much to offer, we just need more time. Hey, might as well share my passion on playing Pickleball. It’s therapy! Endless adventures, endless dining, sightseeing and conversations. Create “moments” that are unforgettable. LIVE !

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this to my clients who repeatedly trust me with their real estate needs. My heart is swollen with pride each time I get a friend or family referral from my clients. It’s the best feeling of accomplishment on work ethics and performance. Ţo my husband José, for trusting my instincts in a few personal investments!
