Meet Madison Bannister | Blonde Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Madison Bannister and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Madison, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is when you can’t see the end of where you want to be but you know you’re going to do whatever it takes to get there. Risk is scary more times then not, it’s thrilling, it gives you butterflies- kind of like a first date. When I decided to open up my studio with my business partner, I had no idea what was going happen, I just knew failure wasn’t an option. We are thriving more than ever and if I hadn’t taken that one risk I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m definitely the happiest I’ve ever been and everyday brings on something new and positive. I’ve actually inspired myself to know when the moment feels right, take it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I pride myself on being a hard worker. Working 10 hour shifts 4 days a week, then going to school the other 3 for another 10 hours. It wasn’t an easy ride but I don’t regret a second of it. The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is hard work always pays off, always. Our Studio- Rebel Rebel- is women owned and only represents positivity and supporting other artists.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was coming into town I’d definitely start by taking her to the belt line. Its such a great atmosphere, any kind of food you could want is there, people mingling, riding scooters, and I can’t forget all the fury friends you get to see. That night I’d take her to Grana for dinner, their pizza is *chefs kiss* then end at Jennis ice cream because, duh. Probably a hike the next day, the city has so much to offer.
Ponce City Market is a must too!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A book I read called The Secret really put life in perspective for me, always have a positive mindset and anything you want you can achieve. My friends and family have always supported me through everything. Between messing up their hair cut in cosmetology school or coming home breaking down crying being so overwhelmed and wanting to give up, they’ve stuck with me through thick and thin. Ill always give them full credit for my success.
