We had the good fortune of connecting with MACKENSON HENRY and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MACKENSON, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is an opportunity to grow. Thomas Jefferson said, “with great risk comes great reward”. I live by that. Everything I’ve achieved thus far began with a leap of faith. I left all familiarity in Orlando, and came to Atlanta for a fresh start. What began as a dollar and a dream has since become wealth and a budding career through investments and bold actions. In other words, risk.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that I don’t do it for myself. I believe that my calling is to serve others through my art. I have a unique ability to turn hardship into light and infect others with my own triumphs. I am most proud of the platform and brand that I have built for myself just by being myself. I’ve been able to reach people I’ve never seen in places I’ve never been. Through my skits, style, and brand, I have been able to bring joy and inspiration to people around the world. It hasn’t been easy. I have had to kick down doors and own spaces that I was never invited to. Being unknown in a new city was scary, but I quickly learned that success begins in your mind first. If you can see it, you can achieve it. Mack Manifest is founded on that very principle. From a Disney commercial, to a Revolt TV ad, to a supporting role on a major streaming platform, I am the manifestation of my wildest dreams. I want to help others say the same.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Zeke’s Kitchen and Bar is hands down my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. It’s authentic Haitian-fusion cuisine instantly takes me back to my childhood. I eat here at least 3 times a week!
Frequency Friday’s at the High Museum is always a cool vibe. You can always find creatives of color dancing to good music and networking the first Friday of every month.
You can always catch a concert or event in Piedmont Park. Even if nothing is going on, it’s always a nice place to spend the day with friends or even have some time to yourself.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To my brothers Mark and Jeff. You guys have always inspired me to greater than I am. I’ve broken glass ceilings because you believed I could. Thank you for continuing to set the standard and break the mold.

To Mike and Zeke, my chosen family. Thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement. Your belief in me gives me the strength to keep pushing forward. You gifted me a reliable and dependable community when I needed it most. You’re not only friends, you’re mentors. I give thanks.
