Meet M Zunith | Director/Cinematographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with M Zunith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi M, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Create art that can be timeless but, only if it aligns with your morality. Going against what you believe to get views from the world doesn’t mean a thing when you’re not okay with it. Instead I believe in honing what your beliefs are and creating imagery through such.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
A lot of people want to replicate old film but-I don’t-I want to create a new wave of film. I don’t use much dialogue, I attempt to create stories that can be understood just by look alone. The best thing about that is it taught me that I have to take time to perfect my craft-it can’t be rushed.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, going to Atlanta, you can have fun anywhere. Me personally I’m an art guy-so the High Museum of Art would be my first stop followed by the Black History Exhibits we have along with the Van Gogh Experience. There are a lot of places around here that I use to work, especially our abandoned warehouses and venues.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank my lord, Jesus Christ, for what he’s given me to use. The gifts I was blessed with came only from Him and I intend to bring people to him through those gifts.
