We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyssa Pfauth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lyssa, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“If you don’t do it, someone else will”

This has continued to help me reach my goals, both personal and in my business, for the last decade. I think sometimes as human beings we just feel discouraged or unworthy of success, but then you see someone else out there doing what you want to do or could be doing, and it reminds me to just go for the things I want in life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a young woman who visited makeup counters to find the latest trend but felt forced to purchase or use a product I didn’t necessarily like, I felt a change was needed in the beauty industry. Women needed a place where they could feel comfortable in their own skin without the pressure of a salesperson trying to meet their numbers for the day. It has taken me a decade to perfect my skills, and I still face challenges, but I feel confident in helping women of all ethnicities feel beautiful, in their own unique way. I continue to educate myself in the beauty industry and hope that my clients learn a little something from me as well!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My go to spot is Ponce City Market! The small business boutiques, bar scene, delicious food and of course people watching…. nothing is missed!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Before I started this journey, I was part of a beauty professional group that consisted of men and women from all walks of life. They would tell their stories about where they started, where they wanted to go, and then some gave advice on how they got there and made their goals a success. After reading these stories I knew I wanted to create my own business, I wanted the freedom to be creative, raise children and give others an opportunity to do the same,.
