We had the good fortune of connecting with Lydia Magnoli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lydia, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born in Brazil and grew up in Westchester County, New York. I grew up in a large family with 5 sisters and one brother. I felt an affinity for music and dance from a very young age. I was also very driven and recall using my passion and energy to create dances even at the age of 7. My family did not have the financial means to sign me up for formal dance classes, so I used my creativity and determination to learn and practice. I would spend hours dancing to pop songs in my basement, garage and backyard. I was never bored as a child. I was always rehearsing and practicing without the structure of formal training. In many ways, this saved my life because I faced a lot of challenges as a child and adolescent. I truly believe that those struggles helped create the strong woman I am today.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the founder of the Magnoli Method, virtual online fitness classes that transform your physique and inspire your soul. I believe deeply in health and wellness and living a life of alignment. Aligning mind and body in movement is a pillar of my class programming. I will frequently use positive mindset coaching principles during the classes I teach to remind my clients that their true power lies within their mind. I believe that training the mind to endure through challenges is an imperative part to developing a strong physique.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love hiking and so I would have to go to Stone Mountain. Definitely take lots of pictures along the way for my Instagram and Tiktok!

I am a huge fan of sushi, so for dinner- you would find me at the MF Bar at the Avalon.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am a life long learner! I have had many mentors along the way to guide me on my path in fitness, business and spiritual growth. Joshua Medcalf’s books are incredible and I have been consuming them voraciously since 2020. In 2021, I joined Project Next an online course and community lead by Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi that helped take my online presence to the next level. I am constantly seeking out new books, podcasts and programs to help me expand my knowledge in the areas of personal development. I pass along the information that I take in to my clients as I strive to be a resource of positive energy and tools for everyone I come into contact with. Lewis Howes’ School of Greatness and Jay Shetty’s On Purpose are two of my Go-to podcasts for daily inspiration and growth.
