We had the good fortune of connecting with Lundon McClamb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lundon, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
It’s a challenge that I realized will be around throughout life. Currently, my work-life balance is confusing. Lately, availing myself of things outside of music has been the focus of my tug-of-war of work and artistry. I found a comfortable balance between work and leisure in Photography starting at the beginning of the year. It’s great to acquire new skill sets, but I recommend to anyone to limit their openness to opportunities once they figure out what skills they want to develop. Prioritizing is key to maintaining a great work-life balance, which in my experience means learning how to say no to people which I have a hard time doing. I feel it’s because I’m naturally a selfless person and I embrace becoming a resource for people, but doing it too often sets me off course to achieve my goals. Recently, I realized effort is limited and must be prioritized if the goal is to use it correctly.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

The duality of influences in my work is a reflection of the two worlds that I have co-existed in since a child. My rock-inspired alternative hip music expresses milestones in my journey through emotions, impactful situations, and relationships that I’ve experienced along the way to complete self-understanding.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The best things I like to do in the city are in midtown. Normally when my friends or family visits me I take them to ponce City Market to grab some ramen at Tan Tan and so they can walk along the beltline. For nice brews and convenience, I recommend New Realm brewery. If I really want a slice of pizza the best place in town is Antico for authentic pies.

As far as hanging out during the day you can never go wrong with Piedmont Park. The views and atmosphere there are nice and gives you that balance of nature and city.

There are really cool specialty bars in Atlanta like Revery VR bar, Fowling (Bowling but with a football), and TopGolf to satisfy entertainment and liquor needs.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to my brother Nikolei for showing me that you can align your education to complement your artistry. It sounds obvious but much harder to put into action, I’m thankful Nikolei led by example and helped me physically observe how clear your mind can get when other objectives in life are aligned.
