Meet Luco Pierre | Actor & Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Luco Pierre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luco, what do you want people to remember about you?
If there are two things I want my legacy to establish they would be: 1) Double down in pursuing your visions and passions and, 2) Enjoy the roles you get to play in the lives of those you interact with wholeheartedly.
I want to be remembered as a man that was both passionate yet compassionate. Remember me for being relentless in all my endeavors while inspiring all who watch me to feel that their days ahead will be better.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Theater productions at age 13 marked the start of my passion for acting. My unique voice served as my trademark. I eventually produced, starred, and directed my most successful musical featuring a cast and crew of about 50 talents. It was an immersive experience for an audience of about 1,000 involving all of the senses including taste and touch! By age 24, I shifted gears to film and tv.
Transitioning from theater to film was a challenge! On stage, amplifying my voice and freely gesturing my body language entertained the audience members way in the back! For film and tv, it took time for me to learn to channel that grandiose energy through my eyes and beats in my speech.
When performing, I flip a mental switch to immerse myself into the scene. Potent intoxication by the scene is my goal. I aim to see the sea of people losing their minds, hear the deafening cheers of the audience, feel the shaking and rumbling of my seat, smell the fresh popcorn being served, and taste the kernels laced with salted butter crumbling under the clench of my molars – all to imagine a scene of the last 30 seconds of Game 6 with the Atlanta Hawks vs. The Miami Heat at the Mercedes-Benz stadium!
If I’m not lost into the scene like that, I feel that I may have missed the mark. My best performances occur when I relinquish all inhibitions and live truthfully under imaginary circumstances (shoutout to Meisner).
Acting is not easy. One can pour so much into it and still be burdened by their unmet expectations. I struggled with that for years. But acting has taught me that living a life where I only look forward to the goals I achieve is unhealthy. Momentary celebrations are short-lived until a new goal emerges. So instead, I aim to live an enriching life where the daily strides on my marathon are appreciated and the longwinded journeys are savored.
I’m most proud of how I can now view the world through the lens of a consummate actor. My ability to read body language has gone through the roof! That excites me! While I’m not a “recognized” face or name yet, I celebrate my “little” wins just as J-Cole once celebrated his 502 followers (now look at his success).
Acting taught me so many lessons that are transferable to life . . . Live unapologetically. If you’re going to make a choice, lean all the way into that choice. Keep the scene moving even if you trip up. Be in the moment. Up the stakes. Listen before responding. Be passionate. Be original. Be yourself. No one can be you better than you. And if you did not get it, chances are it wasn’t for you and there’s something better heading your way.
Acting is my purpose. It’s woven into the fibers of who I’m proud to be. So while my work as a professional Realtor and Airbnb host impacts lives for the better, those businesses I run fuel a bigger vision . . . the vision of impacting lives through the infinite screens the world turns to every hour to brighten their day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My first impression of Atlanta left me in awe – I saw a flourishing city of predominately black people with a range of looks all making big moves. So, I’d start off by introducing a newcomer to The King Center where we’d tour the home Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. grew up in and perhaps catch the talent who re-enacts his famous speeches.
I would also take my family or friend to SkyView where they can see the city in all of its splendor. Of course we’d grab a bite to eat at a few places – Zunzi’s, The Spice House, and Nanas Chicken & Waffles are some of the first places that come to mind. The real fun will be visiting Atlantic Station, Colony Square, The Battery, and the Georgia Aquarium.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This question makes me feel like I won an Emmy and I have less than 60 seconds to give my thanks! My gratitude extends to countless people. I’d like to think they all know how grateful I am.
So major shoutout to God first and foremost. I’m far from religious but having a spiritual relationship with God enriches my life in the most invaluable ways.
Special thanks to those who are and have long been the pillars of my life in no particular order: my two older brothers, Marc and Ngarlege, who raised me; my father, also named Luco, who I reunited with after we were unjustly separated; and my spiritual mother, best known as Mrs. Lawson, who is much like my guardian angel.
Special recognition extends to my best friend, Vaughan; my acting coach, Thom Scott II of the Actors’ Gym; and my brokerage, Village Premier Collection – all of whom I trust with aspects of my life dear to my very being.
