We had the good fortune of connecting with Louis Cash II and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Louis, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business (H.E.M.P Entertainment), was because I was very much tired of working for people who are disrespectful & have no common sense. Which actually means, I have no common sense, because I am allowing this to happen. The fact of the matter is that we all have the power to change our outcome. Moreover, I had to be OK with going against the grain and know that my vision is made for me. Family & friends may not be onboard with my decision. Subsequently, whatever makes you happy when you do it, should be your passion, work or career. At the end of the day, my goal was to get away & enjoy a stress free work experience that is always fun & memorable. I get a chance to work with clients & creatives, along with different brands that have helped me develop a style, crafted space, & work ethic that suits my personality. Whenever I get a chance to create graphic designs, shoot a photo or video, its like a peace & serenity I can’t explain. It’s like I am supposed to be in that space. In addition, when I’m in that frame of mind, I enjoy seeing the fruits of my labour, especially when my clients have the biggest smile from my workI started my own business, H.E.M.P Entertainment, because I was tired of working for disrespectful people who lacked common sense. It made me realize that I had the power to change my situation and pursue my vision. Despite potential opposition from family and friends, I followed my passion to create a stress-free work experience that is both fun and memorable. Working with clients, creatives, and different brands has helped me develop a unique style and work ethic that aligns with my personality.Creating graphic designs, shooting photos and videos, and seeing the fruits of my labor brings me a sense of peace and serenity that I can’t explain. It’s a feeling of fulfillment that tells me I’m meant to be in this space. I’m proud of the work I produce, and seeing my clients’ satisfaction with my work is the ultimate reward.Ultimately, I believe that whatever makes you happy should be your passion, work, or career. It may require going against the grain and taking risks, but the outcome can be well worth it. I’m grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion through my business and look forward to continuing to grow and evolve. .
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I wanted to start my own business because I was tired of not being heard at my dead-end job. Despite my efforts, my supervisors only focused on what I didn’t do, leaving me feeling drained and unappreciated. I became fed up with taking direction from others and wanted to become an independent business owner in something I truly enjoyed. Although reaching this point was easy, navigating through the front-end of business, such as negotiations, expenses, finding work, and necessary technology, has been a significant challenge. While I don’t have everything together, I strive to improve every day.
The greatest lesson I’ve learned from this experience is that hard work is the key to achieving anything in life. I’ve asked God for many things this season and am ready to capitalize on them. Too often, people beg for blessings and goals but aren’t equipped to handle them when they receive them. However, I am hungry for challenges and have people I can depend on.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are plenty of wonderful places to explore in Atlanta, but some of my personal favorites include The Battery Atlanta at Truist Park. It’s the perfect destination to catch a Braves game or hang out with loved ones. State Farm Arena is another must-visit spot for me. Not only is it the home of the Atlanta Hawks, but it’s also an excellent venue to enjoy a comedy show or live concert.
As for food, downtown Decatur is a neighborhood you won’t want to miss. With fantastic lunch and dinner options like “The Iberian Pig,” you’ll find yourself indulging in a culinary adventure. Additionally, Krog Street Market is a foodie’s dream, with an array of delicious eateries to choose from.
And when it comes to spending quality time with family, Gwinnett Parks & Recreation is always a winner in my book. I particularly love the serene waterfall at Freeman Mill & Lenora Park. Overall, these Atlanta hotspots are just a few of the many reasons why the city is such an exciting place to explore.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I believe it’s vital to give credit where it’s due, even if it means recognizing oneself. Over the past few years, I’ve had to embrace being a solo act and deal with the criticism that came with it. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve persevered and accomplished a lot on my own. Recognizing my achievements is important because it acknowledges the effort and hard work I’ve put in. It also serves as a reminder to continue pushing myself and striving for excellence. As I’ve grown, I’ve come to appreciate the support and encouragement of others, particularly my friend and business partner, Dr. Marcia Credle of Credle Enterprises. Her contributions to my development have been significant, and I am grateful for her assistance in various areas. She has been a constant source of inspiration and support, even when others doubted my abilities and the dream. Her unwavering belief in me has propelled me forward and has been instrumental in my success. In conclusion, recognizing oneself for achievements is essential. It’s not about being conceited, but rather acknowledging the hard work and effort that has gone into achieving success. Moreover, acknowledging others who have contributed to our growth is equally important. In my case, Dr. Marcia Credle has been a vital part of my development, and I am thankful for her unwavering support and encouragement. As we continue to grow and achieve, let’s remember to give credit where it’s due and acknowledge those who have helped us along the way.
