We had the good fortune of connecting with Loretta Niblett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Loretta, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
From an early age I’ve always enjoyed creating things. I found a lot of joy in redecorating and re-arranging my childhood bedroom or creating costumes for school plays. Designing and creating came natural to me. I knew that as an adult I wanted to keep creativity in whatever work I did. I worked as a Hair Stylist and Nail Tech for many years, then transitioned to designing kitchens and baths for a company and now owning my own Home Staging and Design business.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is in-home Staging and e-Design. In the staging part of my business I work with realtors and home owners to create an ecstatically pleasing space to appeal to their target audience and help get their house sold. It may consist of bring in furnishings and décor to an empty space or reimagining an occupied space for better flow. In the e-Design part of my business I’ve worked virtually with clients all over the the country designing their spaces. I provide packages that consist of 2-d space planning, concept boards with design and color schemes, shopping list of furnishings and décor and 3-d renders. Owning my business since 2017 has been a dream come true although a little scary at times and not always easy due to leaving a company and striking out on my own, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve learned to keep pushing on and from time to time, evaluate where I’m at in my goals and to adjust what I need to do to reach them. My bottom line is providing great design that is unique and individual to each and every client.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend coming to Atlanta for a visit, the list is long of some of the thing that I would show them. Just to name a few, we would spend our days visiting the Georgia Aquarium, the Botanical Gardens and Piedmont Park (hopefully there would be a festival or some other type of event going on). At least one of our nights would consist of going to one of my favorite spots, Mojitos at the Forum in Peachtree Corners. Mojitos is by far one of my favorite restaurants. they have the best Cuban food around and don’t get me started on their mojitos; amazing! this place j has such a cool vibe with a live Cuban band to enjoy your dinner and drinks to and on some Saturdays a DJ and dancing to end your night out. The 57th Fighter Group Restaurant on Clairmont Rd, Atlanta would be another option for some night life. What a great venue, eating a wonderful dinner while watching private jets land on the runway outside of your window. Later we will dance the night away while the DJ plays todays hits with some old school thrown in. I think my guest would be happy with all of the above.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to the two loves of my life; my children Chris and Kalyn. When I decided to go to back to school to pursue Interior Design they were my biggest cheerleaders. They gave me lots of encouragement and support especially when I felt overwhelmed at times.
