We had the good fortune of connecting with Loran Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Loran, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Address Oasis was helping women get intentional about creating a body care ritual. I wanted women to feel seen no matter where they are on their journey and I wanted Address Oasis to aid in that. Most women I meet are so busy doing all the things, working, mothering, wife-ing, friend-ing, daughter-ing, and they’re rarely focused on their needs. So I created a 4-part body care ritual that allowed them to make one less decision while also helping them to love on their skin with intentional products.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets Address Oasis apart from other body care brands is that our products were formulated with your skin’s PH in mind which cures dryness, promotes collagen production, and protects the skin from environmental stressors. But, we don’t just focus on selling our products. Our primary focus is on helping women create rituals and what that means for their life. Body care is so personal and having a consistent ritual helps set the tone for your days and life. Also, our products are beautiful, smell amazing, and perform well. I am so proud of the community we are slowly creating and getting women to shift their mindset around what it means to have ritual and routine in their life. I am so proud that my vision is being seen by the women I am targeting. They see my vision and love it and I am so proud to be able to share it with them. I am so excited to see where this goes. I started this brand to share the products that I’ve been using myself but it’s becoming so much bigger than that.

Thinking back on how I got to where I am today, it started with my other business Loran Elise Collective. In that business, I’ve spent the past 4 years serving women who are overwhelmed and rarely put themselves first. They’re so focused on growing in the business or career that prioritizing themselves is not a priority. They’re also overwhelmed by all the decisions they have to make. Seeing that firsthand, and experiencing it myself, it paved the way for where I am today. Also, my other business is about technology and elevating client experiences. That has been the foundation for how I run Address Oasis and why I treat my customers the way that I do.

Getting here has not been easy. I’ve dealt with burnout, loneliness, little support, very few people understanding what I do, and more. Burnout was the hardest thing I’ve dealt with in business as there is no rule book on how to overcome it. But, I was able to get through it with therapy and by being honest with myself about things I should’ve done or let go of sooner. I am the queen of DIY and find it very hard to delegate as I always feel I can do things better myself. I had to let go of that to become a leader and help Address Oasis to grow. I am 4 months into this business and am already seeing growth based on all the experiences and lessons I learned in my past 4 years of entrepreneurship.

What I would love for the world to know about Address Oasis is that we not only have amazing products that improve the overall look & health of your skin, but we are also building a community that will help women feel seen and safe.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am not from Atlanta originally (I’m a Cali girl 🌞 ), so this may be a little tricky for me lol. But, if my bestfriend was in town, I would take her to Buttermilk Kitchen for some amazing pancakes. After that, we’d go to the Avalon in Alpharetta and walk around and hang out a bit. We’d come back into Atlanta and go to Slush and have some of their amazing drinks and lamb chops for lunch. We could then go to the Botanical Gardens to walk off some of that Slush and see the beautiful sights. Lastly, we’d go to The Roof at Ponce City Market and listen to music, play some games, and have dinner.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my amazing husband, Antonio. This is not my first business and he’s been super supportive through this entire journey. Extremely loving and encouraging and I could not do this without him listening to my wins, losses, joy, and tears. Particularly with Address Oasis, he’s been so hands-on with helping me to take care of the physical part of running this business and I appreciate him.
