Meet Lonnie Lyle | Music Artist, Photographer, Actor, Writer, Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lonnie Lyle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lonnie, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career due to always as a child making up stories, drawings, poems, and being a deep thinker. And as I got older those poems turned into rapping, those drawings turned into me doing photography, and made up stories turned into short movies that I’ve written. Now with me being grown, My mind is always thinking of new ventures to get into. And I love that about myself. #NeverNotWorking

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I got into photography from my friend “G-Hu$tla” he had a Canon in the club and said you always taking pictures on ya bullshit phone you might as well take’em with a real camera. From there I was off taking pictures in club “Mardi Gras and “Da Vu 2”. Music wise i’ve been freestyling and rapping since I was in elementary school on the phone with my boy “Edward” to see who was better and with my boy “D-Ram” in middle school. I’ve made some not so good songs early on but I never gave up. One of my biggest moments is being on a song produced by “Eric Bobo” from “Cypress Hill” & “Stu Bangers”. Also my OG “Khujoe Goodie” from “Goodie Mobb” is on the song aswell. Blew my mind that I was even thought of to be on that song. And my OG “Lucky Calhoun” made that happen for me. I got my 1st acting role in a movie that’s not out yet entitled “Dirty Birds”. My boy “Keno White” told me to pull up and be a extra but they gave me one line also to say. Very much appreciated. Also I have a full dialogue roll in another movie called “Joy” Miss “Victoria Lartey” casted me and my old-school car for that movie. A lot of times I’ve wanted to give up but…. like I said previously I’m a deep thinker and I start up on a new venture and then another. I’m always on go. I love and hate it because I be tiring myself out. But I know it’ll pay off oneday.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
1st of all for breakfast, lunch, or dinner we gotta go to a hometown “East Point, Ga” hidden gem called “D’Essence”. I promise you the food is always good and you can get it any kinda way you want it. Night life we can ride down edgewood, that whole stripe be going up, or we can hit up “Cru Soufside” in Union City, Ga”. Or see where my boy Bama at with his business “Corner Store On wheels”. If they want some extra entertainment (Strip Club) we can go to “Blue Flame”, “Magic City”, or the “Gentlemen Club”.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
1st and over all is my “Parents” Elsie & Richard Stegall. I get my comedic side from both of them aswell as the music influence. I’ve heard all types growing up and they always cracking jokes. My work ethic comes from them. They always have been hard working. Also my daughter, “Laniyah” She’s always in my mental psyche saying go harder.
