We had the good fortune of connecting with LOMA JONES and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LOMA, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Absolutely, I believe most successful people have a mantra they carry with them. My favorite quote was delivered by Abraham Lincoln, “I have fallen upon my knees many nights, with the overwhelming conviction that I have nowhere else to go.” I fell in love with this quote during my senior year of high school. I even used it as my “senior quote”. As much as we hate to admit it, we cannot always be vulnerable with one another. We face trials and tribulations that cannot always be discussed, but God is the listening ear that passes no judgment. He just listens. Becoming successful has been lonely for me. I had to realize that not many people I started with will end beside me, however, God continues to be constant.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have always been fire with a camera, but it was never intentional. People would tell me how “cool” my pictures were and thank me for taking them. In my mind, I would just be doing them a favor. I had been modeling my whole life almost so I could work that side of a professional camera just fine, then one day I got very curious about the other side of the camera. I bought my first camera in December of 2018, I believe as an early Christmas gift to myself. I didn’t even have the money to pay for it so I got a payment plan. Took me three years to become obsessed with photography. I was working a 9-5 job 5 days a week and spending around 2 hours and 10 minutes driving through Atlanta traffic daily! That comes to a total of 10 hours and 50 minutes in the car weekly, I was so depressed and tired. I knew I was tired of working for other people and not seeing the benefit of it. Not being happy and making money does nothing for me. If I am not happy at my place of employment, I am just surviving. This year I found my niche, LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY, I have always been a hopeless romantic sooooo it works out quite perfectly. There is a different kind of joy in seeing a mother excited about meeting her child, two people deciding to live as one, and babies just seeing the world for the first time. It’s pure joy! And I love solidifying those beautiful moments. I want the world to know that my brand is always going to be about love and selflessness. Two things that can change the world with enough fuel behind it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is huge but somehow small at the same time. There is so much to do here, I guess that’s why our population keeps growing. Our first stop is always going to be food! I love to eat. One of my favorite local places is called Pijui Belly, its asian fusion! I also have a juicy crab obession any seafood is always great in my opinion. Hitting the mall for some cute outfits before we make our way to the painted duck for drinks and fun would probably also be on the agenda.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would really just like to shout out to my family. They have been so supportive of me finding my passion. It took a lot of failures to admit to myself that school and day jobs, were sucking the life out of me. My family has kept me steady and prayed over me every step of the way. My Mother is hands down my biggest supporter, she is very artistic herself. She raised three very creative children and it shows! I am just thankful that my family keeps me encouraged. Last but definitely not least I want to thank my bosses, Kayden and Crystal for taking a chance on me as wedding photographer! They took me in and put me straight to work, they believe in me, and they support me! Our whole team, @weddingsbykm, is phenomenal! We are becoming family on a whole new level and everyone is astronomically creative.
