Meet Lola Adeyi | Data Analyst, Realtor & Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lola Adeyi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lola, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Work as if it’s up to you, and pray as if it’s up to God.” Prayer without action is insufficient. Sometimes we ask God for things we want in life but forget to work towards those goals ourselves. Yes, God opens doors and opportunities for us, but we also have to put in the time and effort. I’ve prayed and manifested for almost everything I have now. It was only achievable through work ethic, determination, and the will of God.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I decided to pursue getting my real estate license during the pandemic, but due to various commitments, I didn’t officially start the process until 2022. Eventually, I passed my state exam later that year in December and became officially licensed in January 2023. They say your first year in real estate will be one of the most challenging years in your career as a real estate agent, and this held true for me. Trying to balance my demanding corporate job, my master’s program and my newly started interior decorating business was quite overwhelming. The beginning was not easy at all, and sometimes I wanted to quit or give up on something in my life to achieve something else. However, I realized I wanted to do it all; I just needed to figure out how. 2023 was the year I truly realized how much one can accomplish one’s goals with determination. Having excellent time management skills and keeping priorities in order was crucial. Once I could find a balance between my job and business, my real estate career started to fall into place. I successfully closed on a purchase and a lease sale within my first year, and I’m now on the path to closing at least a million dollars in sales this year which I’m excited about. It’s important for people to know that I am deeply passionate about helping others. My experience as a realtor has been incredibly enriching, allowing me to grow and develop my skills in assisting people. Understanding and appreciating different backgrounds and cultures has given me a fresh and valuable perspective. These principles are central to the foundation of my real estate and interior decorating businesses.
I want to emphasize that one of the most important aspects of achieving my goals is having a strong support system. I believe surrounding yourself with people who believe in you and encourage you is crucial for success. Additionally, having faith in oneself is essential. Believing in my abilities and staying positive has helped me overcome challenges and focus on my goals. I find it important to prioritize faith and spirituality in my life. By putting God first, I draw strength and guidance to help me navigate life and achieve my ambitions. Lastly, I believe in the significance of self-compassion. Giving myself grace and understanding that it’s okay to make mistakes has been instrumental in my journey towards accomplishing my goals.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, we would definitely be checking out at least 10 restaurants. I’m a huge foodie and love trying out new restaurants in the city that I discover on TikTok or through word of mouth. One of my favorite cuisines is Thai. My top two places to go for this are Nahm Thai Fine Dining in Alpharetta and 26 Thai Kitchen in Midtown. I always go for the spring rolls as an appetizer, and the Basil Fried Rice as an entrée, paired with a Mango Mai Thai.
We would also be going to Lion Fitness for a good workout; we have to burn off all those calories from the food, of course.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person responsible for where I am in life is my mom. She has dedicated so much to my success, and I don’t think I can ever thank her enough for all her sacrifices and the love she has given me. She most definitely deserves all the credit and recognition.
