We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Logan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The process behind me started my own business was, I was in school and I wanted to make money but I did not want to work for anyone. I came up with the concept to be a photographer from working at school. when I returned home I realize I had a gift that I could monetize. now I have become the brand on the other side of the camera.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
so my art is I make music but I also make marketing strategies. the thing that’s different about my music is the balance. I have had the opportunity to travel all over the country and work on my sound. working with guys like renegade El Rey and DJ Mark G just to name a few. I learned the hustle by being a photographer I used to have to drive 3 hours on the weekends from school just to take pictures for like $50 and then driving her 3 hours back to school. it wasn’t easy and it still isn’t easy but I fell in love with the process of being Greek and it made it a lot easier to deal with. a lesson that I learned along the way is just that hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. the thing I want the world to know about my brand and my story is that dedication and hard work is what brought me here and that’s what’s going to keep me here and keep me growing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
if my best friend was coming into town I would take them out to eat at various different restaurants we would definitely party at the downtown cultural arts center I would take them to Angel Park boutique hi couture boutique the Nulanguage flagship store and center City boutique.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
it’s so many people that I have to thank. I have to thank my brother Fame for always having my back. My manager sleep. My wife for always having my back. Angel Park Nulanguage Chad Focus
