We had the good fortune of connecting with Lo’ Kuntry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lo’, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Charleston, but raised in hilton head/ Bluffton area (Low Country) by my grandparents. That played a major part in my adolescence allowing me to live in the now & get taste of what came before me. Some would say I come from good stock, lol

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would say my Fengshui, unique sound, & energy would the main 3 traits that separates me from the average artist. I am mostly proud of my journey so far and the upcoming album “Nights in the Kuntry” releasing on August 25th 2021. Getting to this point in my career only by trusting the vision and still believing in myself over the years. A a solid foundation & support system also helps keep things grounded and in perspective. In no shape or form does this lifestyle comes easy, but what is??

We all tend to go through strenuous situations but it’s always the determined ones who seem to dig deep down & find that thing called perseverance which helps put a little more gas in the energy tank. The main lesson I’ve learned along the way is to find your speed & set your cruise control. We often get caught up in the ETA when instead of just enjoying the ride & follow your internal GPS.

I’m going to have the world know you can be from the most rural state, town, or city & still make an impact around the globe just by being you and staying on course. You can have your own sound, your own wave, on your own terms. & also FENGSHUI is forever REALLY GOING!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot in the city is the studio!! 1st stop is Island Life Music Group Recording studio to catch a vibe w/ a few Gas Stix & some family convo. Then we call one of the personal chefs in the Fengshui Family, “Naughty Fork”, “Da Shack”, “Authentic Bites, “Max Pour House” etc for some Low Country cuisine.

For afternoon activities we can hit the mid island or south end beach and partake in some jet skis, parasailing, or if you have some nice soft legs they can lay out in the sun with the buns out. And for evening activities we can hit the “Triangle” or another local favorite “Tap Ultra Lounge, or make our way to Savannah/Charleston for some downtown adventures. & last but not least we can visit the Fengshui Garden & get grounded, partake in some self knowledge & gone bout your damn business, lol.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to start off thanking myself for keeping things really going!! Big S/O to my support system & Fengshui Family members or anyone who has taken the time to indulge into any vision, sounds bite, or even the consideration .. I’m nothing w/ out you & we are nothing w/out each other.
