We had the good fortune of connecting with Lloyd Booker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lloyd, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I wouldn’t say I pursued this because I was an actual school counselor @ www.mcscs.org , But I was always an actual artist. I’ve had some works exhibited @ Places like The Garden Pier & Tropicana in Atlantic City NJ! I also went to art schools too! I Was surrounded by music & musicians (C , rock n roll Hall of Famers Uncles Charley & James Booker) my Aunt Mildred , Mom(Beverly) could play piano! So I guess it was or is an itch I gotta scratch so to speak! I caught the acting bug just by chance that involved Samuel l Jackson , M.Night Shyamalan & my school! This led me to doing film work!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

What sets me apart from others, Is most definitely my eclectic background! From having an educational/counseling background working within schools, court systems to the arts! I hung out w/people such as David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Luther Vandross, James Brown,B.B.King, Samuel L.Jackson,Bernie Mac, Ben Affleck George Clooney, Bruce Willis, Keanu Reeves,The Roots, Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali , Cameron Diaz,Spoke to my Students, Sylvester Stallone. Also Internationally acclaimed Philly artists such as Kevin Hart , Patti Labelle , T.S.O.P./PHILLY INTL. RECORDING ARTISTS , Jazzy Jeff & Will Smith/Fresh Prince ,Bill Cosby (before incident) & Many others! This type of work isn’t easy it’s HARD RIGOROUS WORK , BEING ON MY CONSTANT GRIND/POSITIVE HUSTLE , no reppin’,has @ least gotten me to this point along w/GOD , family/friends, some mentioned earlier N this article! ..Some ‘So-Called friends had no faith, ulterior motives, some dropped by the wayside , others u gotta watch out for! I’ve stayed centered & tried to keep out distractive things! LOVE THE RIGHT THANGS! DO WHAT U LOVE! LOVE WHAT U DO!
