We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Craft and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
First and foremost, I prayed through it and the Lord opened the door to begin this journey. My passions are to create and please. Within that framework, the most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand are my guests/clients. The passion I have to create ‘Hallmark’ moments for them is the reason they provide me with 5 star service feedback. They feel the passion and love I have behind every little detail afforded to them. They know by special touches and service provided that they are not going to receive autogenerated responses. I put into practice to treat others the way I want to be treated, so therefore I like to spoil them. In my vacation short term rental business, the guests are everything. Their feedback directly impacts my efforts to improve, create and provide the best experiences. I feel they are a part of my team since their inputs are most valuable.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an entrepreneur but also an employee. I do both and I enjoy it all due to the desire for continued learning. Nothing has been easy for me. What sets me apart is knowing that my whole life, I knew the Calvary wasn’t coming. I had to dig in and fight for everything. I financed 100% of my undergrad studies and all along the way, it was my hard work and perseverance and the fearless trait of asking to learn from others I admired. Challenges were overcome with prayer, my village to lean on, and knowing I can be vulnerable to do so. I learned along the way that truly, all desire, has to come from within, never quit, and to allow yourself the emotional space to have a bad day. In the end, you will succeed and so does your brand. My growth has been slower than desired, but nonetheless it’s a journey. What I’d want everyone to know is that my brand comes from visualizing from their lens points of view what is desired, and implementing it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well first, I’d spend gear down time in the cabin since there are so many stress reliving areas on property. Exploring all that Streams & Dreams has to offer from every detailed amenity to sounds of nature, water from the stream and lounging spots to renew. All the property amenities are immense from nature, water, hot tub, fire pit, fire table, bed swing, porch swing, hammock, patio with lounging furniture, grilling deck, and path to various memory making picture taking spots. Once all that is explored and records played inside, cooking, reading, relaxing, and just exploring the exquisite interior, we would set out. I would fill time with hoping around to all the wineries, shopping, border towns, restaurants, tubing, zip lining, trail hiking, river side picnics, gem mining, waterfall exploring, fishing, paddle boarding, bee hiving, museums, train riding, movie theatre, live concerts, festivals, and immerse in the local attractions. There is never a dull moment in the North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains and views are breathtaking. There is something to do all year round.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout would go to several…my co-host, Peaches Brewer, Housekeeping, Carrie Clark, my family and friends. Without a strong team collaboration, you can’t rise to the top. I am what I am because of my village.
