Meet Lisa Bee | Master Brow Artist & Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Bee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was the fact that mom has been working at the same JOB (just over broke) for 53 years and has nothing to show for all those blood, sweat & tears. I also witnessed the owners of the nursing home who were black women and told myself I want to be just like them when I grow up!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a master brow Artist and a master trainer in PMU (permanent makeup) Ombré Microshading Eyebrows. What sets me apart from the industry is my signature pain free technique and the fact that I’ve been a nurse for 23 years. My most proudest moment of this journey was when I was terminated from my nursing job. I looked at that as GOD ‘s way of telling me your assignment is over at that job and it’s time for you to retire from nursing. I knew the moment I looked at my paycheck and I realized I was waiting 2 weeks at a job for less than what I make in a day doing what I love & what I’m passionate about.
Now don’t get me wrong I will not be where I am today without my job. My job financed my business, Helped me build my credit, helped my buy my first home allowed me the flexibility in order to build my business while on the job literally. And made it easier for me to overcome any challenges that may have came my way.
The lessons I’ve learned along the way was to never give up on your dreams and don’t work at someone’s else business without working on your own business after work.
I would like the world to know me as the free spirited woman who touched their lives in many different ways. Whether it was making them feel more confident, more cute or more comfortable within themselves. That I left a great impression of love and they will remember me for that.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was to visit me here in Atlanta and I wanted to show them the best time ever I would start the week off on Monday with a nice dinner at Hal’s restaurant which is one of the best steakhouses in Atlanta. Next day Tuesday we would go to Mexican Lingo for Taco Tuesday & Margaritas. We would then wind down on Wednesday at the Grande Fumee Cigar Lounge. Thursday would be the start of the partying for the weekend. TEN ATL has nice live music on Thursdays, Friday we would go to The Side Bar which has the best food & hookah in Atlanta. Followed by Elleven 45 on Saturday & last but not least my favorite spot on Sunday is The Patio.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I would like to give a shout-out to the Creator for blessings, favor & protection bestowed upon my whole life! I am nothing without that. Then I would like to shout out my family for their efforts, support, love and dedication to help me build my business from the ground up. And last but not least I would like to thank ALL my clients, trainees, customers, followers, fans & supporters. Without you all none of this would be possible.
