We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsey, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
I started my real estate career in early 2013. The most important lesson I learned was the significance and importance of building, fostering, and maintaining relationships with not only my clients but also my colleagues. Building rapport with my clients works to help establish trust and maintain open communication, which are essential components of a successful business. In addition, collaborating effectively with colleagues can enhance and help to facilitate smoother transactions for my clients.
What should our readers know about your business?
I pride myself on ensuring that my clients receive exemplary service. My approach is grounded in continuous education and training. I excel in listening to clients’ needs, explaining complex concepts clearly, and negotiating on their behalf. I am responsive to client inquiries, address concerns promptly, and provide personalized attention to each client’s unique situation and preferences. I operate with honesty, transparency, and integrity at all times. Furthermore, I possess strong problem-solving and negotiating skills and remain calm under pressure. I made it to year 11 in this industry because God allowed me to be here and I am grateful. You have to persevere but also be able to pivot and continue to evolve as the industry shifts. I want the world to know that L. Taylor & Co. is dependable, trustworthy, and dedicated to the needs of the clients.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I live in Columbia and Charleston is a quick drive away, we would take a day trip there to check out the rich history and good food. While here in Columbia, we would stop at a few of the following restaurants for a bite to eat: Another Broken Egg Cafe, Concept Restaurant, Upper Crust, Cola’s Restaurant, Big Bone Take Out, or Hall’s Chophouse depending on what we were in the mood for. For weekend activities, we may go downtown to the Soda City Market on Saturday morning, visit The Grand on Main, Chayz Louge in West Columbia to hear live music, visit a local Escape Room, have a spa day, or drive to Charlotte since it is also pretty close.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Two people were instrumental in the early stages of my real estate career, Anthony Carson and Miranda Harris now Miranda Muhammad. Both possessed extensive knowledge & expertise and provided valuable insight, hands-on experience, guidance, and mentorship. As my mentors, they provided feedback, encouragement, and resources all of which have helped navigate me through this new world. I am extremely grateful for both of them as they were not only a sounding board but also a source of motivation.
