We had the good fortune of connecting with Linden Tyson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linden, can you tell us about an impactful book you’ve read and why you liked it or what impact it had on you?
The rapper RUSS has an incredible book I’ve been reading lately called “IT’S ALL IN YOUR HEAD”. It’s been super inspiring and a fun read. I experienced a lot of self doubt this year as a person and as an artist and one of the ways I gained my strength and confidence back was by reading that book.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There’s a lot that can be said about my art. I make music that is based on my real life and whatever challenges or triumphs I’ve faced. Several placements here and there, magazines, and places I’ve dreamed of being, I continue to progress and everything I’ve wanted or desired to happen has come to fruition or soon will. It hasn’t always been easy but it’s worth it. I’m proud of my journey and how far God has brought me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Centre Stage ATL – It’s one of my favorite venues, I hope to have a sold-out show here one night.

Atlantic Station – You can get lost here and I mean that in the best way. I think I’ve been there twice and there’s ALWAYS something going on. Gucci Mane had a mini concert last time I was there

Adult Swim Headquarters – I LOVE Adult Swim, their HQ is another place I want to perform, and hopefully get a tour of their building. One of the coolest experiences I’ve had was when my Photographer/Videographer and I went and looked at the outskirts of their building. It’s insane knowing that the HQ of one of my favorite program blocks growing up (and even still to this day) is here in Atlanta.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
