We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda McIver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Given the complexities of the health care system, I thought, “there must be an easier way!” which is how I came up with our mission statement at 2UMedical, a direct pay concierge medical practice. Our mission statement is: Simplifying the delivery of healthcare and promoting wellness. 2UMedical is a modern day rendition of the old-fashioned house call.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At 2UMedical we practice from the place where East meets West. We combine traditional medical practice with functional medicine to provide a truly holistic approach. Our care is personalized and our desire is to help our patients achieve optimal wellness. Our patients drove our practice style, and because we work with many people in film and entertainment who come from California and New York where integrative practices are more mainstream, we were pushed in this direction as well. My colleagues and I have completed fellowships in functional medicine. and we utilize safe and cutting edge therapies for wellness and longevity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start in Midtown at the High Museum and work our way over to Piedmont Park on foot. We would stop for a late lunch at The Lawrence and then wander up Juniper and over towards The Georgian Terrace for a cocktail, then on to The Fox Theatre to enjoy a broadway musical.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout out to my children, who literally would not let me quit ~ they have been “the wind beneath my wings”. They believed in me and the concept of 2UMedical. They encouraged me as I worked crazy hours to get this practice going. A big shout out to my son, Mario Prevosti and my daughter, Georgina Prevosti.
