We had the good fortune of connecting with Lillie Aviles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lillie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was being able to be my own boss. I would see things I didn’t like at other jobs. I wanted to make a difference in my life and others life. When I was in esthetician school the owner was very big on YOU owning your own business. It definitely gave me the confidence and push to make things happen.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our mission at Salut Beauté Beauty Bar is ,To inspire, embrace, and leave with a attitude of gratitude. Our vision ,is that all clients and customers leave embracing the new glow to them. To provide great products and services to each person. To leave with a better attitude. I was to inspire others to go after their dream career. I had challenges , I was married with a baby separated and going to school in Columbia south Carolina living in savannah ga. the drive was a lot, I was away from my child working two jobs part time. I was determined, that was they key and will always be the key to succeed. I stayed hungry and wanting more. The lesson i had to learn was asking for help. I am a very independent person , but at the time I felt weak . I wasn’t weak I just needed a village at the time. I really try and do things myself but sometimes you need a team behind you to help. I want people to know that Salut Beauté Beauty Bar has a lot to offer. From facials, waxing , lash extensions, plus more.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
if we’re eating brunch or breakfast I love two cracked eggs cafe on river street . The best crab Benedict ever. Another brunch place would be The Grove. The cajun angels and, shrimp and grits. If where going to have crab legs have to go to davids crab house . have to visit river street and learn all about savannah. take the tours. Waxing and facials of course Salut Beauté Beauty Bar. if its a girl day head to the crease bar and get a good detox. Dinner would be chives , sushi time towa .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would shoutout Courtney Sykes , Youssef Arif , Craig Cook, Keon Brown. Each person had a lot to do with where and who I am today. I appreciate all of them for the encouragement. They all have thriving businesses and helped me to see and reach more.
