Hi Lillian, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For almost 30 years, I’ve worked the same 12 hour-shift job. With retirement approaching, I decided to make a decision for myself and follow my dreams of starting a business. This is not the first time I’ve started a business, but it is the first time I’ve truly believed in my dream and idea, and committed myself to ensuring it comes to fruition. My business isn’t for my own enjoyment, it’s to provide confidence in women of color everywhere that they are beautiful in their authenticity. 
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Warriors Dream Cosmetics is a trendsetting online store, offering our first-rate products and exceptional customer service to shoppers from the comfort of their own homes. We specialize in everything from face scrubs, body butter, lip gloss, and bonnets designed for you. For our guys, we have the best beard care products as well
I’ve learned that no matter what anyone else says or does, you always have to believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in you, why should anyone else.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Kansas City, I love to shop at the smaller and unique boutiques and wine and dine at some of the best restaurants down at The Plaza. It’s really a destination for everything you need.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who have been supportive of my entrepreneurial journey, so if I forget you on this list, know that it’s not personal and I’m grateful for you.
