We had the good fortune of connecting with Lil String and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lil, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My business is LSRecords… I run a traveling studio that mainly operates in Kansas City but seasonally will run in Atlanta and other city’s! But most importantly LSRecords.studio is a media company on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram that amasses upwards of 30-50 million viewers each month and growing! It started out as a way to get more clients to my studio and show off my work, but now I get paid more to post content then I do recording for artists! … I “Lil String” (@lilstringtherapper on Instagram) was working in becoming an established mixer trying to better my work and for years and I offered free studio time for a long time until I built up a professional booth and got great equipment to point I was confident in my work. That’s the meaning behind LSRecords, it’s “Lil String Records” I was a comedian before all this, maybe one day I’ll make it as such…. But for now, I’m getting around 4 million views a day on YouTube trying to save my money up to invest more in my business! (You can check it out by searching up LSRecords.Studio on Instagram, Youtune and TikTok it has the same username on all platforms currently)

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started LSRecords with Luke in 2017 under a different name, making comedy and gaming videos that went viral on YouTube… I later deleted them to rebrand to music to help sell our studio time and advertise my music. Ive spent 5-6 thousand dollars on building my booth & studio alone, not to mention my equipment. And that was working but now my YouTube has been blowing up after years and years of dedication and trying and failing 100 times. My favorite saying is “a winner is a loser that never gave up” because it will always stand the test of time. Now In the past 3 days I’ve made 1.5 thousand dollars on YouTube, and my dream is to blow this up and do it full time… it’s a dream I’ve had nearly all my life! I lost my job this week because the place shut down, but I feel like it might of been the biggest opportunity of a lifetime, god works in funny ways.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When I’m in Atlanta it’s straight business time, I don’t ever have time to enjoy how much the city has to offer because I run around so much making sure everyone gets their studio time! But last year nearing the end of my trip I saw the Botanical Garden, I would recommend that to anyone who hasn’t went or is visiting!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout my best friend Luke from LSRecords (@f4rfromyou on Instagram)… he’s truly the only person who had stuck besides me for all these years and supported my every move and decision… When I wanted to be a comedian he was there on camera with me, and when I have a question about where I should take LSRecords he is there to help me through it. The world has 8.025 billion people, but sometimes it feels like he’s the only one who believes in me- and it’s gonna pay off for him in the long run.
