We had the good fortune of connecting with Leslie Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leslie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was in search of something other than customer service that I felt great at, something that I knew I could actually build & leave behind later. That’s when I found Lashing. I took a certification which was the fist stepping stone to my journey of becoming a Lash & Brow Business Owner. I completed my licensing with 3D Lash & Brow and I’m currently working with a Studio in my profession as well as building my own business
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Leslie but everyone calls me Les. I’m 35 and from Dallas Texas, born and raised. Hospitality is in my DNA. I have a smile that can light up a room, lighthearted, and I’ve been known to turn a frown upside down. I’m the owner of JusLes Lashes where I provide Lash& brow artistry.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to hang out in uptown & deep Ellum. We would start in Deep Ellum bar hoping after that we would head uptown to Jrs for a few patio drinks & great music & food
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I would like to give thanks to my mother for always being supportive. I would like to thank my wife for always encouraging me when I wanted to give up
I would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Christina Martin & Ms. Terricka Ashton for being my community, supporting my dreams & helping guide me through this journey . Love Les
