We had the good fortune of connecting with Leo E Tiah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leo E, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
At first it was difficult to get like minded people who will be committed to follow the dream. It took me 3 years to overcome this.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the founder and Executive Director of Youth Network for Positive Change – YOUNETPO; is registered and accredited youth led civil society organization with over 8 years of evidence-based work in youth peacebuilding, human rights and citizens access to justice, HIV/AIDs care, prevention and treatment services, climate change, youth capacity development and civic engagements. I got to where I am today because, I moister up the courage and passion to overcome all odds. I over came challenges by never giving up no matter the situation, I always learn and relearn when ever I have the chance to do so. I want the world to know that I believe in social change especially in the areas of environment, gender equality and good governance.
YOUNETPO is for and by the youth so it is important that the world know that young people are taking actins for a better environment, good governance, good health care, and most importantly education. “This world can only become a better future when youth take action now”.
What set me apart from other is the unique gift of leadership skills that I possesses. I am always there to serve, think of the bigger picture and make decisions that benefits other. I always put others first before myself, I am grateful to God for this humanity.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to not be notice so I always to to places that are quiet and lonely. I will take a friend at schools to see disadvantage students, orphanages and to locations were the environment is being abuse. When it comes to eating and drinking, I will take a friend to the Royal Hotel, Coster and European Bar and Restaurant.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Oldest Brother Mr. Jethro K. Tiah deserves a credit in my story.
