We had the good fortune of connecting with Lea Hartsfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always had a love for capturing moments in my life. Whether I was on vacation, capturing the sunset. Or just in my day to day life, capturing the sweet moments among my family. I knew I had a love for photography, and needed a little guidance in my career direction. My mom and my husband helped me with that needed guidance, and I decided to take a jump and go for it. I haven’t looked back since!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started my photography journey after I finally realized I needed to find a career that I love, a career that makes me happy. It was not easy, and I think most of it stemmed from self confidence issues, and just being unsure of what the future would hold. I finally told myself one day that I just needed to do it, no more holding back. I learned that if I don’t take this leap and take this chance, I’ll never get to experience what has always made me happy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start with coffee and breakfast at the cutest spot in downtown Acworth, The Fountain. We would then go to Cauble Park in Acworth, and sit on the dock and enjoy the views of Lake Acworth. For lunch, we would go to The City Cellar & Loft in downtown Cartersville, and enjoy the awesome downtown shops. We would also go up to Berry College in Rome, and checkout their gorgeous, historic campus. Since I’m a huge Stranger Things fan, we would also go by the “Vecna House” in Rome as well!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have had an amazing support system throughout this photography journey of mine. My husband, my mom, my sister, my mother-in law, and the list goes on. They have shown me nothing short of love and support, and I am forever grateful for them. I truly would not have put myself out there and started this journey without them.
