We had the good fortune of connecting with LaTricha Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaTricha, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
One main habit to succeed for me was to always keep God first. I know it may sound cliché but honestly that is what has helped me. While I would be creating products or pushing out orders I always thanked God for it. Tired and all He get’s first dibs. As well as have great support team. Thankfully I have my family in my corner rooting for me and a awesome team of creative women as well called CBCIC (Creative Boss Collective Inner Circle. When I am feeling overwhelmed or even overly excited both my family and sister tribe are their supporting and pushing me forward. I keep pushing myself to keep going and don’t quit. Ignore the negative and remember my Why. These are a ew of my healthy habits. You need that support team with you to keep you going. To ask questions when you don’t know the answers. It can be lonely out there without it. Trust I know, I started that way and refuse to go back. It’s ok to have help and ask for it.
I know some might think well those aren’t habits, but they really are. I had to practice at asking for help and being apart of a sister tribe until it became second nature.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a creative. I make custom apparel and home décor product with love. What sets me apart from others is that you get Me. When you purchase from me I am there every step of the way making sure your product is what you want and cared for with love. The grace of God is how I got to where I am today. It was not always easy by far. But it is worth it all. I learned to start asking for help and advice. Understanding that I don’t know everything and even the little that I did I can still learn and expand. That was one of my biggest challenges was asking for help. Everyone was doing what I was and sometimes a lot of people did not want to give up their sources or even answer questions. That became a challenge for me. I started teaching myself how to do things and vowed that if anyone comes behind and “Ask” a question I would help. Information is free to all , doing the work costs.
My brand is to spread love everywhere hence the name Cover Me In Love. Everyone needs some love. I just happen to spread mine through my craft and creativeness.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A week trip with my bestie… whew first off my bestie and I are crazy and home bodies. But I would say the first day I would have dinner prepared and we would stay in catching up laughing and watching movies. The next day I would say go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and get the Grandma’s Sampler, go to some nearby stores window shopping. Have to make a trip to Michaels Stores and and home stores. Throughout the week we would hit up the Malls and have to make a stop at the Classic Street Cars or the Speedway. I love classic cars it something about a classic car that revs up just right and its clean!! Oh boy. We probably would just be eating out all week, especially some seafood like Crab DuJour, or take a trip to Charleston SC to go to the Beach. But really most of our time unless going out of town would be spent indoors catching up and creating memories with our families. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely my family! My husband has stood by me the entire ride and always encourages me to support myself and get what I need as long as its a R.O.I, he even helps me create some products too, lol. My sisters are my go to’s. We would be on a video call all day and night giving advice and ideas and pushing each other. They truly help me to laugh when I feel like crying. My parents and kids of course, being supportive giving me time to work, watching the kids when needed. Always praying and encouraging me. Without my family I would have probably stopped a long time ago. They are my testers as well with all products. I cannot leave out my Tribe of the Creative Boss Collective Inner Circle with Karen Baxter. I joined this tribe a year ago and not only has it changed my business but it also changed me as a person. I have learned to take care of myself again while being a Boss. Not only do we get great information on how to run a business but also how to live for you. My business has went from being a though and a hook up spot to being a structured legit business. Everything is organized and boundaries in place. That’s because of my tribe. WE help each other Win, there is no small or big wins with us, a win is a win. We laugh, cry, dance and party together and I love it. Just like it takes a village to raise a child…it takes a village to run a business. I am thankful for my village!
