Latisha, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My name is Latisha Henderson, and I have been an entrepreneur since the age of 21. I currently serve on the North Baldwin Chamber Board of Directors and volunteer my time wherever it is needed. I consider myself more of a community leader rather than a “boss”. I have always enjoyed working with seniors and children. I have successfully opened and managed several businesses over the years. The two most rewarding businesses I have had are my Home Health agency and my Residential and Commercial Cleaning company. Helping Hands Care Services provide private-duty in-home care services to seniors and individuals with daily needs. My agency initially provided routine services such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, personal care, activities of daily living, medication reminders, companion care, respite care, emotional support, doctor visits, light housekeeping, meal prep, post-surgery, and more. However, after about a year of being in business, we expanded our services to include residential cleaning in response to client demand. We experienced tremendous growth with the cleanings and began offering residential and commercial cleaning services to the public, in addition to our Home Health clients. We also offer notary services. The additional services we offer set us apart from other agencies. We have experienced massive growth over the years. We have received the “Grind Awards” and “Small Business of the Year” awards, and have been published in the Times magazine. I currently have several other businesses and projects in development for 2025, which I look forward to sharing with the public.
