We had the good fortune of connecting with Larencia Bright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larencia, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson that entrepreneurship has taught me is boundaries! Most time in business, especially when in a service business it can be difficult to establish boundaries and processes for fear that you may not please everyone. Some people will use you up; your time, your resources, etc and still not be satisfied and move on to the next person. It’s important to know your stuff, learn your craft, educate your clients and manage their expectations. Also, have processes in place and establish boundaries so that you can effectively service your clients, avoid burnout and grow your business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Absolutely! I am a Luxury real estate broker here in GA; I own a Real Estate Group that services the metro Atlanta area. I specialize in assisting buyers, sellers, and investors obtain wealth through real estate. What sets me apart from other realtors is my client experience; I really take the time to get to know my clients and their families. By the time you close on your home we’re scheduling play dates with the children, brunch, etc. I also invest in my client closing experience. Owning a home is a huge accomplishment! So whether it’s professional photography, personalized closing gifts, Starbucks at the closing table- I do it all!

If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
I overcome challenges by realizing that failure is not an option. Honey, these companies that send me bills want their money on time. (laughs)

They don’t care too much about what kind of week I had or if I’ve encountered a difficult situation within my business.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy?
Easy? Immediately No. (laughs) Establishing a business is never easy, I’m always wondering if I am doing enough, how can I reach more people, what else can I do or offer to my clients. I’m always a student and that’s how I continually grow my business and obtain more clients.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
eat: I love superica, the fajitas are so bomb! Also love Roc South, Negril ATL, and breakfast at barneys,

drinks: Steak market atl, little alley steakhouse and the W hotel

visit: Coca cola experience, Chick fil a experience, GA aquarium and ponce city market.

hangout
I love high tea at the st regis, the beltline is always fun, and there’s always something going on at chastain and piedmont park.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I can definitely attribute my tenacity to my children. I want them to experience a life without limits and see other people that look like them own successful businesses and make positive contributions to their communities.
