We had the good fortune of connecting with LaNisha Candice and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaNisha, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Why did I choose an artistic/creative career? Well that’s simple, God created us to be creative.

We all know he made us in his image but what most people do NOT put together is that God is the CREATOR, he is the most CREATIVE and since we are made in his image we too are meant to express that very thing through the creativity he blessed us with!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Ever since I was a little girl Iv always had in my heart to dance or express myself creatively. Largely due to the fact it’s always been a bit of a struggle to express how I feel through words. Movement came easier and satisfied me in ways other things couldn’t.

Once I got a taste of life and realized that with God I could actually take this creative outlet and make a living there was NO turning back.

I think what sets me apart from most is my “rawness” although I am a trained dancer, I like to keep my authentic creative expression in the forefront!

My journey has been and is continuing to be just that! A JOURNEY!! There’s no way on Gods green earth I would be where I am today if it weren’t for God! He placed this passion on my heart he placed my ultimate goal of studio ownership on my heart and my passion of helping people heal and parent their inner child and nurture their spirit through movement!
Was it easy? Well that’s based on perspective, of course going through it, it’s not going to feel 100% easy but looking back God not only blessed me with this passion but he also blessed me with the strength to overcome everything LIFE threw/throws at me, as long as I kept him FIRST!

One of the biggest lessons Iv learned thus far is to not pay attention to the numbers ( followers/supporters/money) but keep the bigger picture in mind , keep your purpose in mind. God will provide and does provide everything you need. EVERYTHING! We are naturally abundantly blessed we just have to change our perspective and turn to our resourcefulness ( creativity).Understand that our life is exactly what we make it! Perspective is everything. So long you are living in your purpose you ARE successful! Always remember to give thanks and praise to our Heavenly Father!

I am grateful for where he has brought me so far and grateful for where he is taking NishaB Method and Studio1ne!

My journey is just beginning!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly to show my best friend a good time we of course HAVE to get hot wings! NO WHERE in America makes hot wings like Atlanta!

Naturally I’m an adventurous individual so we have to hit up Stone Mountain, Andretti’s, and Six Flags.

Then we can just drive around all the artistic neighborhoods of East Atlanta and soak in the beauty and talent of our people!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s no single person, I believe that EACH and EVERY SINGLE individual I have ever meant / encountered has played a HUGE role in journey.

I believe that God put all of my friends , family, classmates and “strangers” in my life because he knew/knows the impact my purpose is supposed to serve and the village that I will need to help support me in my purpose!

As cliché as it may sound I truly dedicate this to God and EVERYONE!
